Marissa: I needed an adapter to plug in my portable mouse when I was on the road or in the office, and this does that. BUT I didn't realize there was no port to plug in the charger or HDMI for an extra screen on the adapter. So It's only useful if my computer is completely charged, and I don't have an extra screen near me. It does come with a dongle adapter, but the dongle doesn't talk to the computer or the hub adapter if you try plugging in the charger or HDMI port.
