After looking around for cat doors designed to go in windows I decided to save money and make my own fit. So I purchased this window cat door and then also purchased some foam designed to insulate around a window unit A/C. After measuring out what I needed, I placed the cat door over the foam and pressed down on it to create a pattern outline to use to cut out the hole for the door. Then I screwed the door to the foam and used double sided tape to hold it in place in the frame. And, wha-la, an insulated window cat door. Probably took 30 minutes.

I waited awhile to post this review. This cat door works great. Installing the door was ok, instructions were good. Please make sure to trace out the inner cat door opening onto paper, then tape the paper to one side of the door before cutting the hole. I did that and mine turned out very good.
Cats review : works good. We don't have to wait for human to open door.

Really disappointed with the quality of this, it was such a pain to install and the locking feature is a nightmare, it is not clear which one does what, you just have to play around with it til you get it right!
