Maryh77030: It's compact, easy to clean, and holds a stick of butter without being too long. I love the lightweight knife that comes with it, and the magnet on top is genius! No more big knives falling off--leaving a buttery mess on the counter. The magnet holds it securely and is always there when you need it. And the curved ends of the dish are great for cleaning off the knife. Brillant design!

Deborah Osborn: I like it! I've had it for two years. The butter dish can be a mess, right? But this mess is completely self-contained. I'm here buying a second one, because when we need butter we need butter so it doesn't get washed often enough. Now when we finish one stick of butter we can pull out the clean butter dish and wash the dirty one. The plastic is good quality, the magnet holds the knife well, the knife is a lovely design, and the dish and cover are both ingeniously designed. This is the best butter dish design I've ever seen, and it won't break if it hits the floor. It isn't fancy, it isn't cute, but I would absolutely gift it. Note that I'm buying a second one, not a pretty glass one with a rooster on it (like I had until it hit the floor and smashed and I found this one). I'm buying this butter dish, because it is elegantly and perfectly made.

Malheureusement, il n’est indiqué nulle part qu’il ne peut pas être mis au micro-ondes pour ramollir un beurre un peu dur. 15s au micro-ondes fait fumer les pieds anti-dérapants d’une fumée toxique et âcre. Je vais voir si je trouve un matériau anti-dérapant qui peut aller au micro-ondes et remplacer celui du beurrier.

jvz773: I love this butter tray! I haven’t been this excited about a simple kitchen item since the can opener that crimps the lid so that there’s no sharp edge! I looked at almost every classic butter tray on the market, and this is by far my favorite. It’s a good, simple, smart, elegant design. I love that the lid has feet that allow you set it down right-side-up. I love that the knife attaches magnetically to the lid. I love the oddball little knife itself. I love the little ramps at either end. Let me clarify something, though, that I was unsure of when I ordered. When I was looking at this before purchasing, one thing I couldn’t quite discern was whether or not the lid somehow “latched” to the tray. The demo video showed a girl carrying the whole assembly with one hand, which made it seem like perhaps it did. To be clear, it does not latch. The lid merely rests on the tray via gravity. However, the “feet” on the lid do rest inside the little slots at either end of the tray, which helps it “seat” and stay put; but if you’re picking the whole assembly up, one-handed or otherwise, you’ll need to grasp the tray (which most adults should be able to easily do). Long but thinner than was expecting, suppose you have cut a smaller amount from refrigerated butter more often. Probably only an isue in bigger households
