lmg: Love this butter dish. At first I did not realize what the black line were on the perimeter of the dish. Then I realized they are to mark 1 Tablespoon increments. One side is for long thin sticks of butter, the other side is for the shorter, fatter sticks of butter. So clever!!!

pamgoug: I was looking for a plastic butter dish and happy with this one. It does seal tight - can be tricky to remove top if your hands are damp but all in all, this is well made. Already fell to the ground once when opening the refrigerator door and the top stayed attached (which is what I was looking for).

surabhi: I really like this container. It is the perfect size for one stick of butter - not too small nor too big. Color is good. There is a slight curved lip to the base. I usually leave the butter in the paper it comes in and take it out of the container when cutting - just out of habit from my previous butter dish that had a high lip. Cutting the butter directly on this dish should be fine if you're using a butter knife.

It is a little hard to open, especially when it's straight out of the fridge (the condensation makes the lid wet and slippery). But I just plan and get my butter ready before I get my hands dirty; so I've never needed to open it with one hand. I like that the lid is a little tight; I never have to worry of it accidentally opening.

The silicone is removable; so if I really felt it was too tight, I could remove it. The container will still close, it just won't have as tight a fit.

R Drake: Now that we can find butter sticks in the stores, it is nice to have a keeper that fits them. Nice and air tight .. a little too tight perhaps but in a good way

Frequent Prime customer: Generally butter packaging comes in broader width. I had to turn the butter 90deg to stand to fit inside the container. But I must it makes slicing the butter really thin and even. We used to cut up thick slices and makes a mess and simply consumed too much butter.

GnightGracie: I am quite the fan of prepworks and their products — well thought out and good design / functionality. This butter dish is no exception. Butter stays fresher longer in this dish given the seal. Not as heavy or awkward or big as my porcelain dish. Yes, opening the dish can require two hands but no hardship. Easy to clean and fits a stick of butter with no pruning required (as had to be done with my old, now recycled porcelain dish). AND, it is dishwasher proof — even on the lowest rack at the hottest setting. Awesome.
