WA ll: This is the right size for holding 1 stick of butter (1/4-lb), the size most commonly used. For some brands that have sticks that are skinnier, narrow, and longer, two can be put side by side. It is packaged well, and arrived intact.
There was an itty-bitty black blemish about the size of two periods on the outside top of the cover. I'm using the dish by the prep area in the kitchen, so it's not for table use (hence their description as "countertop" dish because they are all flawed?). However, if you need this for the table and entertaining, you might have to return it for a perfect specimen. Quality control missed this flaw. Too bad, as I probably will not order from the seller again.

Carter H: Well, the top half of the dish seems really nice. The perfect size for a stick of butter...the only problem was that the bottom half of the dish was missing. Wish I could leave a better review but unfortunately I cannot.
Update: The sellers reached out to me and shipped me a brand new butter dish that had both halves included this time. They were super friendly and very quick with fixing my issue so I decided to update my review and give them a few more stars.
So far I have liked the dish. Its a good size and seems to be made of a high quality. Thanks guys!

Drew B.: Ordered this butter dish to replace a glass version that would look dirty from the butter by the time you were half way thru the butter. Based on that I decided to go with a ceramic version. The product arrived quickly and well packed and protected from shipping damage. I am very pleased with the look and feel of this product but the bottom of the dish was rough but this was quickly fixed with a little 400 grit sand paper!

Jane Camden: Product was as the seller described. I really like the while ceramic. It looks nice on the counter and keeps butter fresh. I was frustrated, however, that the price must have gone up slightly after I ordered. I received an email from Amazon advising me of the change and asking me if I still wanted to purchase. I agreed, although I thought I should have gotten it at the price it was when I ordered it, and Amazon advised it would be next day delivery. Not Amazon's fault but the USPS decided it was to much trouble to deliver and I had to go to the post office the next day to pick it up. Love the product just frustrated by the delays.

DW: This butter dish is the perfect size for a quarter pound stick of butter. It has nice raised lettering on one side spelling out butter. It is nice enough to sit on the counter or use at the table. The lid works well, and is easy to grip. I do wish the bottom was glazed. It is a little rough and could easily scratch surfaces if not careful. There is a tiny black spot in the glaze, but it is on the back. It wasn't a big deal for me, but if I was buying it as a gift, I would have returned it. All in all I am happy with this pretty dish.

Lauraine Schooley: This is a great butter dish for 1/4 lb sticks. It's roomy enough that the butter doesn't wind up on the sides of the lid and the handle makes getting the lid off nice and easy.
