Boxtech Submersible Aquarium Water Pump - Ideal for Fountains, Ponds, and Aquariums

Bubba-John: As the headline to my review says. I expected this thing to work at a decent amount but not great. But I am here to say that it's been great. As someone who is in a wheelchair and I have a 40 gallon fish tank. Carry 10 gallon buckets were a poor option. So I purchased a hose and this water pump. It allows me to change my water in about 20 minutes from drain to refill. It doesn't cause leaks. You question how I refilled the tank. I put the pump in a 10 gallon bucket and put it in my walk in shower. My hose is about 50 feet long and in no time flat the work was done. It even sucked up and spat out the fish poop and whatever else in the tank.

There are a million different things a person could use this thing for. It seems to be quite durable and we'll made. It also has a decent length cord on it. Super easy to attach a extension cord if need be also.

I rated this item 5/5. It works fast and great. If there was a downfall there is no on / off switch. But that's probably for your safety anyway.

Rob: The pump works but the thread on tube extension snapped when I installed it. Must have been damaged or defective. Luckily it comes with a second piece, though this one is at an angle. This angle piece did not break when installed. Though the angle isn’t ideal.

White Butterfly: I used the pump in a tub that held 30 gallon of water,, made me a home made water fountain, worked awesome, very powerful pump!!

Gail C Fowler: This pump was used in a 300 gallon inflatable outdoor pool. I used it for approx. 3 months, plugged into an outdoor “smart” plug. Plug was scheduled to run intermittently throughout the day and night. Also used the pump to drain the water out of the pool. I was able to tilt the pool while draining, leaving behind an extremely small “pool” of water in the pool.

Joseph Lyon: I use this for water changes from 5 gallon buckets. It pushes well and has no operational issues whatsoever. I just wish it had an on/off switch. I have a dehydrator without an on/off switch as well and I hate that. There's jut no excuse to not have something so simple on a modern piece of machinery. Admittedly, this is likely meant to be ran all the time and I could have found one with a switch if I had looked but having to turn something off by running over to yank out the plug just sucks.

Xeon: I had this pump being used as a return for an aquarium from an under-cabinet sump filter system. It had to lift water about 3.5 feet back up into the aquarium which it did with ease. But after 11 months of working well this pump just turns itself off (or somehow loses suction) and will not work again until I unplug it and leave it off for 15+ minutes and if I plug it in it will run again, but then craps out again after 10 minutes.
