Jojo: Man. I've never read anything like this before. I didn't even realize that moonshine magic was a genre. Okay, I don't think there's actually anything called moonshine magic, but this series is a lot of fun.
I also heard that many (maybe all?) The dice rolls were actually rolled by the author. That would be awful for me, I roll like trash, but it did seem like there were some very inconvenient failures in the story due to dice rolls. Either way, I'm reading the second book enthusiastically as soon as this sentence ends.

Nikhil: Apocalypse litrpg with bunch of friends moving from one disaster to another. Very short book and not enough world building or backstory to understand character motivations. Will loosely follow this series if more books follow in the series.

Amazon Customer: A good first book in a new series but has some issues. The die rolling makes for some interesting parts but tends to really slow down combat.

Tom P: Mostly enjoyable, liked the characters, the setting, and the story. The main complaint I have is the frequent, and long, breaks in the narrative for a bold print die roll. Each was 1/3 to about a full page long. I can see doing this a few times to demo the game mechanics, and the author does decrease the frequency toward the end, but after the first few I generally skipped over the bold print. So advice to the author: Fewer extended dice rolling segments (it breaks the narrative).
As for the magic system, kind of a mixed bag. It has potential for a flexible system, but leads to some of the longest bold print sections.
A recommended read. Waiting for the next one. Tom out

Rieryn: Gage, Seth, and Peri are camping when life changes forever and Fae magic returns to Earth with demons riding the wave of magic and game elements.
I enjoyed the story, interactions of the characters and how it all came together. It’s not perfect but it is fortuitous for sure. Can our small group prevail again let a demon invasion? Not likely, but that does not mean they are helpless to attack the invaders. Including the many turncoats that were humans like the corrupt sheriff who had the right people supporting him. Now to include the leader of the demons he made a deal with.
An interesting magic system that has a lot of wide open potential, with crafting as well. I’m looking forward to seeing more of what the group does, how they attempt their quest to defeat the invaders and what other allies they may find.

O.L.D.: This one is much better than I thought it would be. The characters are realistic and the story held my interest. There are some familiar tropes but that's not a bad thing in this case as it's all presented in fresh ways. It's also been proofread and properly polished. It's worth giving a try. I'm unlimited so I'm unverified.

Kindle Customer: I really thought that I would like this one but the game mechanics was too much for me, making it boring. I understand the dice mechanics but it gets repetitive and should have been save for more of the story, word wise I mean. Anyways, keep trying. I like the story though!

L M Ralph: A portal opens and the Earth is invaded by demons. It falls to our intrepid group of MCs to save both the day, and their townsfolk who have been enslaved and used as forced labour.
The storyline is unique and revolves around a game our MCS used to play being real and the world that they find themselves in is based on that. It does remain unclear though how the change got implemented or why which is a little disappointing. The gaming system and dice rolls are frequently mentioned and in the end I found myself skipping the blow by blow account of how the die fell. The story is easy to read and does not contain any bad language or sexual content. It also ends in a mild cliffhanger which is annoying.
Worth a try.

Sean: It was a good start to the series but the ending seemed a bit abrupt and at the beginning was a summary which made me thing I had grabbed a book later into the series. Also noticed a few errors throughout such as wrong characters being listed, grammar and some spelling issues. The story itself is good and the characters are well developed.
