Out here in the middle of: It works fine, but I use pumps in a situation where clogging with debris and hair is a problem. Other pumps -- often cheaper and less attractive -- come apart easier and can be cleaned out. They keep running for ages. This one didn't do well and has already been landfilled. Very disappointing.

William: Picked up the 400GPH pump and it will work if you attach it to the side of a tank but if you put it on the bottom of the tank I think air is getting trapped in the pump until you move it around enough to release the air. Not a big deal but I could see someone thinking it is not working or maybe a problem if you are trying to not contaminate whatever liquid that the pump was submerged in.
