ANRAN 3MP Wireless Home Security Camera System

William Williams: This system is replacing a competitors product which had a number of unacceptable issues. Overall, the Anran system is a significant improvement over the one it replaced in several areas. However, it does have its drawbacks.

In terms of signal strength and stability, it is a significant improvement. This system displays decent video at signal strengths that gave its competitor fits. The camera transmitters are either stronger or the receiver is more sensitive. The placement of the antenna at the side rather than the back greatly improves the ability to align the camera. Picture quality is decent and on par with the previous system.

WiFi pairing of the cameras is a must have if your console ends up dying like the old product. Trying to hook up cameras via a lan cable to pair is a real pain once they have been installed. This was one of the selling points for the Anran system to me.

Now to the issues. The 13” monitor is really 11.5” on the diagonal for viewing area. It’s too small for me and has visibility issues depending on the viewing angle. I solved this by buying a separate 19” monitor which is connected to the DVR via the HDMI port. The previous...

LauraLaura: So far so good. I had time to research and have a good set of cameras that gives me a good quality picture and no to expensive.
This is a great product, it’s easy to put it together, easy to use, and settings are easy, the one thing didn’t like was the mouse, did work for one day and died, but I got another one wireless no problem. It’s working for a week already and I have no problems, yes I had to buy another set of extensions for the power but they are under 13 box. Also my house is 3 bedroom one floor and the signal it’s pretty good I didn’t have to get more signal extenders. I am very happy for the price very good, now I will see how long will last. I leave in Vegas so it’s pretty hot in here. But for now it’s working like a champ. I will get another camera for the other side of the house. In my opinion, I bought 4 camera bundle, I should got the six set camera; 8 would of be to much.
Other than that I hope this will help to questions in the product, very recommended unless you want to spend on those expensive cameras.

Glen Reed: I purchased this wireless camera system to supplement my existing wired system and fill in the gaps in coverage. I chose Anrans because of the price point and the features offered
The first thing I noticed was how solid the cameras felt. They were not real light like some other WiFi cameras I had seen. As the instructions suggested I preformed a test setup. Hooking the system up couldn't have been easier. I attached the base to the NVR and connected the power and Ethernet cable first. Then simply screwing on a antenna and plugging the cameras to a power was all that was required, The system did the rest. Within two minutes the cameras were up and running. The resolution was excellent and I had no signal problems with any of the locations I chose. You do have to provide power to the cameras. The remote viewing works extremely wall so far Night Vision is crisp and clear with good distance.
At the price offered I would say this was a good choice and I am very satisfied with the purchase. It offers most of the features I wanted and gives me the flexibility of adding 4 more cameras which should be more than adequate. I highly recommend this system

Ernie: UPDATE:I ended up getting a WIFI-extender to make sure I don't loose signal. I changed the antenna with 9 decibels to makethe signal stronger. The original antenna is only 3 decibel. Now the security system operates great and i do not loose signal at all.

This system is a plug and play. Very easy to install also and very clear picture. I install mine very quickly. I have to buy a 25 feet network cable because i have to put my monitor on the living room. I ran my network cable under the basement by drilling a small hole on the corner wall to hide that cable. I ended up getting 2 more cameras from Amazon. The only drawback is Amazon do not have that camera in white color. I ended up getting 2 black additional camera for my blind spot around the house. I do this before winter comes. I recommend this security system.

UPDATE: Two years past and my 8 camera systems is still doing great 24 hours, 7 days running all year. Great product.
UPDATE: Three years and still working great. It is worth every penny spent. Great product.
