GLCMECH: I purchased this device to take advantage of the USBC input slot on the side of my PC to save me having to reach behind the display to connect USBA devices. It serves that purpose well. I only wished the cable cord was a bit longer to make it more versatile and convenient.

bill: I purchased this hub for my APPLE IPad Mini 6. This latest issued iPad mini 6 has no audio 3.2mm outlet jack - only a single USB-c jack. I think Apple designers expect everyone from now to listen to music with a Bluetooth wireless connection. This hub has 3 strong USB 3.0 outlets. I plugged my USB A to audio 3.2 mm female adapter into the USB 3.0 jack. Then added my headphones to my audio adapter and heard a nice strong audio response - it was clear and bright, plus I can also use the PD USB-c to charge my iPad at the same time. I am happy with this hub - judging from the quality of the construction I expect it will have a long life.

The only con I have is that all 4 outlets are on one side of the hub. 2 outlets on each side would have resulted in a smaller hub size.

J_C: Most notebook computers come with a single USB-C port that is power and USB C and they are skimping on the 3.0 USB-A ports. This would be the economic solution, as it can do a power pass-thru and add 3 additional 3.0 USB-A ports rather than lugging along a heavy, more-expensive docking station.

But sadly as another reviewer noted, a high-wattage power pass-thru does not happen. My Thinkpad that is spec'd to use 65 watts tells me that this device (which claims 100w) is a low-wattage power source and does not charge quickly.

Additionally, I find that it gets rather warm. I would not leave it unattended in my home. It gets about to the "steering wheel hand-warmer" level of temperature.

On the plus side, for being a 3.0 hub, it is light, slim, and fast. I'll toss it in my travel kit, but I wouldn't use it for constant needs.

charles: I had a specific use for this. In addition to my home office, I go to two other offices where I bring my own Polycom headset and Logitech mouse - both of which use USB dongles to connect wirelessly.

One of the offices uses a docking station while the other does not. I plug the two dongles into the Uni hub, stick that into the little pocket inside the Polycom pouch, then put in the headset and the mouse fits nicely as well.

At the office with the docking station, I just plug the hub into the docking station, the thunderbolt cable from the docking station into the laptop and I'm up and running.

At the other office, I plug the hub into the laptop, the power supply into the USB-C port on the hub and I'm ready to go.

The hub appears to be sturdy, compact, and the dongles fit tightly so I don't need to worry about losing them (the Poly dongle is $70).

Because the USB ports are on the side and not the top, the hub (with dongles installed) fits in far smaller spaces - although the top mount hubs are better if you change stuff you plug in frequently.

KPKP: The media could not be loaded.  Ich habe es durch mein Irrtum gekauft. Und wollte zurück senden. aber mein freund hat es schon benutzt. Hat er gut gefallt dass er nicht zurück schicken müsste.

Sehr leicht und klein. Einfach zum Transportiert. Er hat paar Stunden benutzt es ist bisschen warm aber es geht noch. Ganz normal.
