DJnWM: Bought these, and 2 month’s later I had a person attempt to break in through my window. The alarm went off immediately after it broke magnet contact and I was able to get the intruder. I’d buy again and recommend.

Bethany MessnerBethany Messner: Okay, these are REALLY loud. However they are not the advertised 120 db, which is 1 reason why I took away a star. The loudest I got right beside it was 107. My city requirements are 85 decibels at 10 feet. I tested that, and I was 90 decibels at 10 feet, so it does meet that requirement.

The other reason for 1 star is that this is for a vacation rental property where new people will need to turn them off and on. The off and on is SO small, and just a raised plastic the same color black as the device, that you cannot see that it says on and off. So I am going to have to either exchange these, or make some additional label that shows up is off and down is on that way guests will know and not have to guess if they are on or not and test them out themselves.

Noel: It works as intended, however I have to warn people not to install this around kids/babies/toddlers/pets and if you can wear ear plugs because it’s been four hours and my ear won’t stop ringing since i briefly heard the alarm. It’s very frustrating and is showing no signs of stopping.

There is no doubt I can hear it from my window well in my basement to my third story even with a fan. It sounds very legit and if I didn’t know better I would assume it was hooked up to a professional security system. I believe my neighbors would hear it in their own house, it’s that loud.

This would be great for people with curious toddlers or kids who you fear might sneak out the door. You can set it high and they can’t reach it, the sticky tape is very impressive and strong.

It works, gives me peace of mind.

BlackSugar419: I've only had these for roughly 6 weeks. They're good for what they are, the quantity and the price you pay. Alot of people complain about these not sticking well. If you just wash the area with a brillo padded yellow sponge and wipe away any dirt or invisible bio-film buildup, and then dry area very, these will stick amazingly.

I'd buy these in white, or whatever matches your window color. I didn't stop to think before hand that black clearly stands out on your windows. Not their fault, that is mine rather.

My 4 star rating is due to this just being a temporary product for security. I just purchased outdoor cameras through costco, so didn't want to spend a ton on entry alarms as I knew I could go cheap on those like with this product and it be sufficient enough to hold the fort down until the batteries die. By then I'll upgrade to a wireless smart security system that can function w my cameras as well.
