Ol' Techie: I was a skeptic for years and refused to jump on the water bottle fad, which is now out of control and a detriment to the environment. I drank tap water and know that it's not so bad it's gonna cause me harm. However, over the years I started using various filters and enjoyed the taste of water more, and 90% of what I drink is straight-up water. I decided to give this ZeroWater a try and can 100% declare this filters better than others, and I know this not only from the 0 ppm on the TDS meter, but from the obviously better taste of the water. Having just swapped out our first filter at the 4-month mark, the water started to taste sour and I think the filter was leaching whatever it captured back into the water. Sure enough I tested and it was up to 80ppm, and swapping in another filter cured that and now back to 0 and good tasting water. So for roughly $50/year or less if you get the filters for this dispenser on Black Friday, I figure it's worth the cost for great tasting water, and not contributing crazy bad amounts of plastics to the landfill. For reference our tap water scores 170 ppm and the EPA recommends staying under 500 ppm. So the only real benefit for me using these...

Kara B.: I LOVE this water filter pitcher. It fits perfectly in our fridge, hold a decent amount of water, and it is easy for even my four year old to use. We have well water at my house and we use to buy cases of water every week and since buying this we have not only saved so much money but also reduced our plastic use. I do have a few small complaints though, one the reader does not fit in the little slot on the front (not a huge deal but was a little frustrating), two sometimes when we fill the top and then put the cover on it doesn't continue to flow through the filter (once again not a huge deal we have just learned to keep the cover slightly off kilter until fully drained) and three the filters are a little expensive and only last about two weeks which is frustrating when I forget to order them (still worth it in my opinion but I just want to be as transparent as possible). With all of that being said I would still recommend this product 100% the water is crisp and fresh and even takes our the "well water" taste that we are use to at my house.

True Friend: Update, I cannot review the filtration result as I did not test it, the water has not tasted much different but I have to trust it works. there are bubbles and the water filters super fast. Compare to the Shaklee filters I had, the filtration is slow, and the water tastes much fresh, even sweet after the filtration. the leak is resolved by calling customer service, and by turning the filter upside down it no longer leaks. I wish customer service was a little nicer but she did resolve the issue. so I raised to 4 stars. I will return to use Shaklee.

I got it in on October 29th and did not open it, until two months later, but I found out that it does leak a small amount, and drips in two places no matter how much I try to tighten the filter... the pitcher could have been better quality for something holds water. I would be willing to pay more. I don't know if the leak is caused by the filter or the pitcher, so I won't buy it again. Also, instructions is not very obvious to me, a simple step of explaining how it works and when to change the filter would have been better

JacarandaMoon: I am mightily impressed with this product, waited 6 months to write a review.

I have had to change the filter only ONCE during the 6 month period and that was at a PPM reading of 4.
The instructions say you don’t need to change until it reads 6 but I changed it anyway.

Tap water PPM reading at my home is 249 which is way higher than other states or cities. Which usually sit between 118 - 200, So a filter is necessary for us.
With a high metal content in our water the filter still has lasted longer than expected.

Very happy with the system will buy the fridge sized system to replace my Brita.
If I had to compare the two, brita filters work very well but only last at most a month. Within 3 weeks the zero reading will start to rise, by a month it reads at 8 and I will change it.

The Zero for me only needed one change in the 6mnths that I have had it.
The zero wins out over the brita in all areas. The system may be more expensive, I’m not sure, but the filters don’t need to be changed every month If you have a normal water hardness like the Brita.

Follow the instructions when using or changing the filter. Don’t skimp on time. It...

SCSC: My tap water is disgusting in taste and clearly leaves heavy mineral buildup around faucets. As the pictures show, the numbers speak for themselves. The taste is also equivalent to a bottle of pure distilled water. I have CKD and can only drink items with low minerals, so when I'm really lazy and not in the mood to use my distilled machine purchased here on amazon, I plan on using this gem until it proves to become a financial burden. I purchased additional filters NOT on Amazon as they were $3.00 dollars less. After doing the math, even if I need to change the filter monthly, I will save an easy$15.00 a month. For reference, I live in a location with the highest level of TDS. I'll make any updates to filter lifespan if the unit falls below the allotted calculations for gallons vs location
UPDATE: 6 months in and only dislike ONE thing about this dispenser. The filtering speed is greatly reduced when the top unit is in place. Once you lift the unit up, the water flows through the filter freely. Don't listen to the company telling you to squeeze air out. Although this may be some of the issue, I can clearly see that once the top unit is put in place, the water passing through...

JessD: Good looking product, sits nicely on the worktop, could fit in fridge. The filter takes a while to draw through but it is doing a good job so I don't mind. The tap is a little slow at pouring but nothing of concern. Easy to put together and easy to clean. Really good product.

Levi Galán: En mi zona (Chihuahua) el agua salio con 377 ppm y con el filtro salio en 0.00 pero dice el folleto que con ese nivel de contaminante el filtro solo duraria 40 gal. En mi caso eso seria como 20 dias, me parece muy caro comprar repuestos cada 20 dias, ademas el sabor del agua sabe muy mal, al principio era un sabor a agua embotellada, ligero sabor a plastico, pero despues de 10 dias de uso el sabor ahora es mucho peor , sabe a metal. No lo recomiendo
