dclaar: These support USB 3.1, which is a lot faster than the other one I had, which was USB 2.0 only.
You would think that this kind of thing is just a "little to big" physical converter, but it's not: It's got a bunch of electronics inside. If you are connecting to something like a mouse or keyboard, it doesn't really matter, but if you are connecting a flash drive, or even a physical drive, it matters A LOT. I used this to connect to an external drive for Apple's TimeMachine, and it was much faster. I also verified with my Chromebook that my old one was 2.0 and this was 3.1.

White: I buy only USB accessories that are advertised as USB 3.1 Gen.2 (which they have begun touting as 3.2 Gen.2, which is more silliness), so that I can comfort myself knowing that I have done the best I can, even though I don't ever expect to see even 1 GB/s transfer speed on my custom-built PC, much less 10 GB/s. Since I bought several small items at the same time recently, I decided to test some of them together, just to satisfy my curiosity and to pass on the results to those who are considering one of the items for purchase. The SSK hub is neat, not pretty, but all ports work; the XAOSUN USB-A female to USB-C male adapter (to clarify: for joining USB-A male to USB-C female) is beautiful, with the specific caveat that the USB-C male end is too short to snap into my PC's motherboard port, due to the thickness of the PC case surround, so I can't use it there, but probably won't miss that application; the 2-meter AINOPE cable is very impressive, with "SS10" properly printed on the female terminal (very helpful is a tag affixed to the cable, warning that if circuit cannot be completed to a USB 2.0 device, rotate the Type C terminal 180 degrees and try again - I was not aware of that...
