Lewis Balentine: The biggest problem proliferation with USB and Thunderbolt Type "C" on computers is that most peripherals (keyboards, mice, thumb drives, printers, scanners, etc) are still using Type "A" connectors. One needs to carry around a collections of adapters in order to connect said devices.
I ordered these because the spacing of the Type "C" connectors on the laptop would not allow me to plug in two Adapted-Type "A" devices next to each other.
I do wish they had right-angle connectors so that they would not interfere with my mouse which I usual have just to the right of the computer. For that offence they lose one star. I also purchased a pair of
'right-angle' Type "C" adapters and taped then to end of the cables.
The use of the term "OTG" in the description only adds confusion. It leads one to think that these have a special 'configuration' for use with silly smart phones. They work with REAL computers as well.

gbCambridge: The cable connection to the C-USB is flexible. If hit, it just bends. We had some rigid USB adaptors recently and if they were hit they would damage the connector itself. The flexible cable approach makes a lot of sense.
