Pam: A fitness instructor peer loaned me a thumb drive full of music. I have a Mac Book so I needed this adapter. I bought 2 as I know it will come in handy as the usb C comes more widespread. I ordered it, it came the next day. The packaging was very impressive to store them when not in use.

Grins of NC: The package arrived on time. The two adapters were foam-packed in a small, palm-sized box. I had no difficulty inserting the adapters into the (two) USB-C ports in my Surface Pro 9. I then plugged a thumb drive into one of the adapters, it fit readily. Windows recognized the thumb drive and mounted the volume, no problem. I could copy data each way at the speed I anticipated, i.e., everything worked as expected. I tried both adapters and both worked fine. There was plenty of space between the adapters so you would have no problem using both at the same time, though I did not specifically test that. Nor did I try charging through the adapters, but would you need an adapter for that?

All in all, I was satisfied with these adapters. They work as advertised and are well worth the money.

Amazon Customer: Important information first. If you have bought these to use with a MacBook Air M2 you will not be able to use them both at the same time. The usb C ports on the Mac are too close together to accommodate both adapters at the same time. That is one of those things, Apple engineers decided on the placement of the ports, and the designers of these adapters made them ergonomic and robust for repeated use. They are robust and they are well made, and they are a steal at this price. I highly recommend them, but just be aware of the issue with the MacBook Air M2

Dieses kleine aber feine Tool hat sich als überaus praktisch und zuverlässig erwiesen und macht die Verbindung von Geräten mit unterschiedlichen Anschlüssen zum Kinderspiel.

Das Praktische ist, dass man hier gleich zwei Adapter erhält. So kann man einen fest am Arbeitsplatz installieren und den anderen für unterwegs in der Laptoptasche oder im Rucksack verstauen.

Ein weiterer Vorteil ist die OTG-Funktionalität, die es ermöglicht, das Smartphone als Host zu verwenden und beispielsweise USB-Sticks oder andere Peripheriegeräte anzuschließen.

Er tut einfach genau das, was er soll.

Mountain Magic: These small, compact USB-C (male) to USB-A (female) adapters seem to be very well made. So far, I have had no trouble using these adapters to connect a USB-A cable to my 2023 MacBook Pro which only has USB-C slots. In particular, I use it for my Western Digital external backup hard drive, and all seems to work fine with backing up using Mac Time Machine via this adapter to the external drive. The adapters feel very sturdy, suggesting they will last a long time. So far, so good.

R. Bell: It’s a USB converter so you don’t ask much from it—does it plug, does it play, does it work? The answer to all three questions is yes.

Here’s some amplification—on my MacBook the product plugs into the usb c port and needs to be wide enough to accommodate a USB A plug. This it is and this it does. But it is not so wide that it interferes with use of the adjoining USB C plug. Plugging in two of these adaptors side by side on a MacBook might be a squeeze. But that’s a MacBook design thing, not an issue with this product.

The small size of this product is its strength, and perhaps also its weakness. One could easily lose the adapter in transit. So I think you’d either want to leave it plugged in to the usb cable it is adapting or use a baggie to store it when going mobile.

La prima cosa che ho notato è stata la sua compattezza e leggerezza. L'adattatore è piccolo e discreto, facile da trasportare ovunque e da collegare quando necessario. La connessione è stabile e sicura, evitando disconnessioni improvvise durante l'uso.
La velocità di trasferimento dati è stata rapida e affidabile. I tempi di trasferimento sono stati notevolmente ridotti rispetto ad altri adattatori che avevo provato in precedenza.
Un altro punto a favore è la sua compatibilità con dispositivi diversi. L'adattatore ha funzionato perfettamente con laptop, smartphone, tablet e altri dispositivi che utilizzano porte USB Type C. Questa versatilità lo rende un accessorio indispensabile per chiunque abbia più dispositivi da collegare.

Despite lurking this specific laptop since it came out, I was still unprepared for some things about it vs my old MacBook Pro (2014). Chiefly, the two usb-c ports. Love that in theory, but nothing other than my iPhone charging cord is usb-c. External drives, flash drives, my vape, certainly not the usb hub for the billion things that end up plugged into my laptops.

I knew it’d be a pain, a thing I’d have to fix asap, but I didn’t know how soon that’d actually be! One unexpected death in the family and me being volunteered to make a video for the service later, annnd a location for that service being of the…um, politely? Exceedingly, frighteningly, frustratingly out of date. As in, everything HAD to be wired to worked.
