I bought this in the hope I could make granola with it, but the grains are not rolled flat enough for that purpose. Oats have a more broken texture than this pressed barley. I have no qualms with the quality or anything, just didn't work out for me and now I've got a lot of barley to use up eventually, haha.

My local organic place sells this in bulk for twice the price per pound. This bag cannot close once you open it, so be ready with a small canister or jar to keep it in.
To make the pressed barley flakes into a hot cereal, use a 3-to-1 ratio of water to flakes, boil the water, add the barley, stir, reduce heat, and make like old fashioned oatmeal. Cook 5 -10 minutes..
