Fred Lord: I was looking to find some barley to add to my lamb stew. After doing some research, I decided that hulled barley was preferable to pearled barley. Just as brown rice would be preferable to white rice. I chose this one because it was organic and made in USA. I had never cooked barley before, but followed the instructions on the package. It came out perfect. Nutritious and delicious!

M. Null: I make about a gallon of vegetable beef soup for a hearty meal. Adding a quarter cup of uncooked barley helps make it more hardy/filling. It can be almost like a chowder than a soup and so delicious.
