Grace Ludwig: I bought this in the hope I could make granola with it, but the grains are not rolled flat enough for that purpose. Oats have a more broken texture than this pressed barley. I have no qualms with the quality or anything, just didn't work out for me and now I've got a lot of barley to use up eventually, haha.

Kathy D: My local organic place sells this in bulk for twice the price per pound. This bag cannot close once you open it, so be ready with a small canister or jar to keep it in.
To make the pressed barley flakes into a hot cereal, use a 3-to-1 ratio of water to flakes, boil the water, add the barley, stir, reduce heat, and make like old fashioned oatmeal. Cook 5 -10 minutes..
