This 120V ignitor from White-Rodgers is designed to be the best furnace replacement circuit board on the market, offering superior build quality, durability, and easy installation for maximum satisfaction.Deborah D.: This was a a direct replacement EXCEPT The LOCATION of two of the wires on the right side of the board were reversed. So when you install it, read and compare the location name for each terminal before connecting and match name for name and do not assume the physical location is the same.

aj: My AC was icing up on the outside (compressor and tube were forming ice). I noticed the fan outside was working but air was not blowing from the inside vents. I checked and the fan inside the furnace was not running (you can put "run fan only" mode from your thermostat to see if the fan runs).
I first replaced the fan capacitor inside the furnace but that did not fix the fan. I was not sure if the fan itself had gone bad or not.
Before narrowing it down to the the fan, I needed to see if the control board was not giving power to the fan. There is a great youtube video that shows how to bypass the control board found inside the furnace and check to see if the fan works. Search for "HVAC Fan Motor Test/Control Board Replacement" on youtube.
I was able to diagnose that this was the control board was the problem. Ordered this replacement. I took my time pulling one wire out from the old board and installing it on the new board. Did this one by one for the invidivual connections. I tested the "FAN ON" mode from the theromostat and it worked!! That was a relief and the AC worked fine without any ice build up on the outside.

gr82bwild: Bought these to replace OEM White Rogers control boards in two of my three HVAC systems. The White Rogers items have a design defect: PWB traces for 26VAC incoming power are too small for the operating current load; causes heat buildup and eventual intermittent connection over 20 years of use. Results in various failure modes due to power drop-outs to control board electronic components. Same PWB traces on this new design control board appear more resilient (slightly). Now expecting the third White Rogers board to fail in the next few seasons. Should probably buy the third replacement to have ready upon OEM failure. Time will tell....

Braden Finney: Looked at the attached product manual for verification that this would replace my WR 50A55-571. The manual listed it as such. I had experienced a power loss and reconnect surge event which fried my board, losing the ability for all furnace control and automatic fan control. I was able to bypass the fan via the board until this one came in.
All pins on the old and new boards were labeled. There were maybe two pins (one on the vertical run and one on the horizontal run) where the order had changed from old to new. Regardless, having properly labeled the wires it was a breeze to plug and play from old to new. Cranked up just fine and all controls restored.
I had tried calling ac service stores and they would only sell to licensed people. As it turns out, the parent company of the seller of these products on Amazon was one of the same places I called. Regardless, buying this board through Amazon saved me $300 on a call out and install when it is definitely DIY for someone who can take the time to troubleshoot.
