Shilpi M.: The new board layout did not match the old completely however the terminals and connections are very clearly marked and was easy to swap when done one by one.
I had to drill a couple of holes on the base of the housing to align the holes on the PCB. The old PCB is different dimensionally.
It is indeed a very easy swap if done cautiously. Good value for money and can save you hundreds of dollars by not getting professional help.

MJB: The package was pleased, but the part # was not the one advertised. Even though still work because everything was the same.

gdsater: Have a Coleman high efficiency furnace where the board wouldn't tell AC unit to turn on and would not provide power to Google Nest thermostat. Local contractor wanted about $650 to replace board, so I went ahead and purchased this one (031-01267-001A replacement). Took photos of original wiring in case issues and unplugged one connector at a time and switched to new board. I had to drill new mounting holes, but overall took about 30 minutes to switch out. Original board had one cooling connection whereas new board has two (low & hi). Connected to hi and tested heating, fan, & cooling with everything working as it should. Very happy with this new board. New board is stamped as Emerson 50A56-956, but installation manual has cross reference which listed my original board.

C. C.: My ancient system started acting odd, so I ordered a new system controller. Read about possible reverse polarity setups; however, I did not have this issue.
It was straight plug-and-play for me. Worked great out of the gate. I did have to “add” two holes for the standoffs to mate with the existing mounting plate. Not a big deal on that either; once I pulled my old controller, I found its terminal block for the thermostat (Y, W, G, B, etc.) had a cold solder joint on EVERY PIN.
Will reflow joint and keep as spare.
Thanks.

kok6211: Would have given it 5 stars, but board was lost in transit and didn't receive it after a month late. A little intimidating to do at first, but it took me 10mins to install and 10 mins to test. The furnace fired up right away after I put the furnace cover back on. I didn't expect it to work right away. Thought I will give it a try. Surprised me! The HVAC folks want $980 to replace the controller board. I got away with a $118 replacement board. New furnace would have cost $5k or more. Better lucky than good?!
