Tundra Dude: So I've been using these filters for several years now. I keep purchasing them because they are one of the few brands that make them for my LG fridge. I guess all depends of the quality of your city water. I know we have bad tasting water here in south Texas and unfortunately this filter only lasts about a month and a half before you start to taste the difference. The taste after you purge the line is ok, It's definitely not Figi, Voss, or essentia brands but it Does soften the chlorine taste of tap water. Again, It all depends on your city water quality. It's better if you buy them in bulk as amazon has better deals on that than purchasing a single filter. I do however like that it has a date decal which you can put on the filter so you know when you last replaced it. As for the fit? I've never had an issue with it leaking. It's super easy to install and it comes with a cap and plastic seal to protect the gasket which i appreciate. As of now, I'm sticking with its since the LG brand is twice the cost of these. Hope this helps.
