David B: This pump fits perfectly in the Fluval spec 3 with no modifications. Has built in adjustable flow rate. The stock pump was 66gph. This pump is 130gph. Huge difference. Totally quiet. A great pump at a great price if you are looking to upgrade the pump on your fluval Spec 3.

Bahamin: I used this to replace an obsolete pump inside an aquarium filter. I managed to get it fit inside the small compartment and replaced the cover over the assembly. Works very well and quietly so far

michael sheirichmichael sheirich: The media could not be loaded. Pump is used to keep deer and bird water from stagnating. Plenty of power (130 gal/min) to split the water supply to two locations.
An assortment of hose barb diameters would be a good addition to this product.

Nukes: I was looking to replace the broken pump on my evo tank and didn’t want to buy the fluval pump since it is expensive for what it is and not the greatest quality. This pump is exactly what I was looking for at the right price. The flow isn’t really adjustable as per other reviews. I would like to have better flow control and ordered a 1/2 inch valve from two little fishies brand on Amazon and hopefully that will do the trick.
