Amazon Customer: Aging has presented challenges, like not being as stable or strong as we were in our 50's and 60's. John Gamblin: This was the least expensive 12” grab bar I found & I wanted to install it in our RV shower. The pre-drilled holes in the mounting bracket don’t match up and are off center. This made installation take a bit longer because nuts and screws had to match up through the opposite side of the wall through the holes in a custom made support brace. It’s supposed to be stainless steel. I hope so because there were a couple of places where the paint didn’t cover. Overall, it seems like it will do what we need.

Speedwell: I needed a dark grab bar in my new shower because we installed dark blue tiles and I didn't want the bars to be too obtrusive. The contractor installed them for me and they are staying firm and working well even though I put a lot of weight on them. Deducted one star because the finish chipped in one spot during installation and I think it shouldn't have. But it's not in an obvious spot. I am much happier to have them in the shower and that's the main thing.
