JZ: Our showers are plastic, with a slight texture to them. The handles stick solid. There is no chance of them moving or sliding, no matter how much weight you put on them.

myopinion: Grips much better than look-alikes, but be sure mounted surface is totally flat and surface and suction cups are very clean. (denatured alcohol is good) At first mount once fully to limber-up suction cups pushing hard against surface, then remove and re-mount firmly being sure that levers are pressed fully in. Before each use test with a slight tug before holding on. If any movement remove and remount. Since nothing lasts forever be prepared to remount every several months.

Ronald W. Marsh: I bought two. One was ok but the other arrived in damaged packaging with one suction pad permanently deformed. I returned it but its replacement was the same. I gave up and asked for and received a refund. The one good one I received is exceptional and works very well. I would like two items but I was hesitant trying for a third time.
