BW: What's to be said of a safety bar? This is not the first one I have purchased and installed. But the fact is that the "big box" stores have resorted to cheaper items with an unproven history. I previously purchased Moen bars because of the name and reputation. When we wanted another, none were to be had locally. I figured one would be on Amazon. I was right and was also able to get the Moen Secure Mounts, not available locally. There are still some of us who prefer quality product with a proven reputation.
