SBS: This author has written an invaluable guide for the 21st century human being who needs help in getting to the root of dealing with their anger issues, and understanding how to channel that anger without harming themselves or their psyches.

Dana Gove: I am a white man who has grown up in a white community. I am cisgender. I became a nurse 40 yrs ago. I questioned my desire to care for others and my sexuality. I never felt I fit in. Lama Rod’s experience was different , but the feelings were similar. I have a better understanding 😀 Now. Thank you

ReluctantConsumer: We read this in a small online reading group. Several workaholics who try to advance justice in our lives and the larger world, however imperfect and fumblingly. It was so helpful to do the meditations in the group. The idea of the healing circle meditation was excellent, but definitely more helpful for us to go through in a group.

Brandon Haines: Lama Rod gives personal insight into healing and practical use for anger, an emotion as natural as any other but isn't discussed candidly in most circles. His honesty was a healing for me as a black man myself but this is a read for everyone.

NYC Graham: Lama Rod shares hard earned wisdom in a way that is down to earth, authentic and straightforward. As a white bodied person, it is a privilege to hear this (it’s especially relevant in these times when white people are experiencing some things that Black folk have dealt with for hundreds of years - like feeling threatened by your government) and a pleasure to have it offered to me as well. Lots of concrete practices and topics that aren’t discussed in other dharma books. A resource I intend to revisit again and again.

stilllearning: Lama Rod Owen is so painfully honest about the challenges he faces for being' different': Black, gay, fat (his words) and how he is able to live with this in a manner that is nourishing for him and open to others.

Zubin: I am so grateful to Lama Rod Owens for his courage in writing this book, I can learn from him on so many levels... learning about white privilege, learning about healing trauma, learning about honesty and learning to show my tears. GREAT BOOK, thoroughly recommended 💛🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟😃
