Occasional Customer: For the price, quiet motor, with a speed control, and the ability to run outside of the water tank that is being pumped, it is a great product. When running outside of a water tank, there was a very slight leak in the internal ring gasket which is why I gave it a 4 out of 5.

S...: I have been using one of these pumps on my aquarium since mid-December 2017, and it is almost December 2020. It has had no problems, the controller functions well despite normal wear and tear. It runs 24/7 on 100% and I use feed mode once or twice a day and the flow is consistent. I will say that I have never cleaned this pump, and that I use it submerged inside my sump with the detritus cover on.
I would consider this to have been a purchase well worth my money in my experience.

Arthur ArtichokeArthur Artichoke: I used this pump as a return pump for a 55 gallon tank. This pump is awesome! The adjustable flow feature is perfect for balancing out the water level between the sump and tank as well as preventing it from overwhelming the overflow box. It is quiet even at full speed. I also like the alarm features. It had a bit of trouble priming so after 30 seconds or so I shut it down let the return line flood from the suction then turned it back on and it was good to go!

Logan A.: Awesome pump I don't know how you could setup a return pump in a saltwater aquarium without a controller. This little beauty does the trick! As far as how loud it is...I can hear it running and at about 6 feet away it registers about 36db so quite negligible. My return piping (pvc) is all half inch the smallest point on the return nozzle is 5/8 simply heating some vynal tubing with an internal diameter of 1/2 and sliding it over the tip and clamping it did the trick! I also had to go to the end of the return piping where the water enters the display tank and drill a siphon break as this pump allows for a reverse siphon if for some reason it gets shut off or the power goes out and depending on how low your return is this could mean a flood. Now it is my understanding that with every 90 degree angle you loose some pressure, because of the way my plumbing is there are 12 90 degree angles and the water is still pushed at a considerable rate to a height exceeding 5 1/2 ft. The pump has an auto shut of feature should it run dry this happens at a water depth of about 1 inch more or less.
