The Essential Guide to Veterinary Care for Small Animals

Amazon Customer: The kindle version is just scans of the book but even so, in terrible quality. It's scanned in a horizontal orientation, parts of the pages cut off, and quality of the texts are blurred so it's very difficult to read. I have been busy and have not been able to view the book until now and it is now passed the return window. At least it did not cost much, but still very frustrating and disappointed.

cornwallgal: Currently studying for my finals at Vet school and i have about 6 ringbinders of notes and not enough to read through it or make notes of them all. This book is very concise and its a brilliant way to read all the information quickly. I think it is american so some words are obvs a little different, but its a great book. Will be good for a quick check up whilst in practice when i qualify.

It is not sold in the Netherlands, but through Amazon I could buy a second hand one.

Book itself is very handy. Small; so easy to handle and bring along on practice days. Captures the important points of every disease so you have a quick overview of what you're dealing with.

Vet on three wheels: I got my nerdbook in my penultimate year when clinical rotations and rounds were becoming more frequent and serious. I absolutely love my nerdbook and refer to it everyday in small animal practice. I find that it helps to reinforce information and concepts. I really like the logical way that it is written and set out and greatly prefer the nerdbook to "Tschauner's Guide" (which I also have) or "Kim and Poli" (which I bought but couldn't read for the small font).
I wholeheartedly recommend the nerdbook for veterinary students and I foresee that it will be an invaluable resource as a new graduate in 2012.
