Zoomandla: Excellent book for someone starting out on the low FODMAP diet. Great starting point for someone with IBS. It explains IBS and the low FODMAP diet, even provides recipes to get you going.

Gillian Bartlett: What a revelation! This is a comprehensive, convincing, easy-to-understand guide to the FODMAP cluster of foods and related symptoms. I've already given copies to two of my friends who have IBS and they are, as one said, "glued" to the book.

Rick Shore: Very helpful information explaining the diet and the underlying problematic condition. More information in one place than I have been able to find elsewhere. Recipies mostly not for me, being a vegitarian, but some will be adapted.

Naomi P: As a lifetime sufferer from IBS, during which time (am aged 70 ), little was known by UK GPs about helping to alleviate the affliction.
Having recently obtained this book, I have been delighted by its lucid, logical and scientifically correct approach to the problem in the first 6 chapters. The only minor downside is that the authors are American, hence food names, cooking terms and sometimes availability of food products in the recommended recipes are unfamiliar or not commonly stocked in the UK, outside London.
Highly recommended reading & there appears little else on the market with which to compare it.

Amazon Customer: I've only had this book for a couple of weeks and so far have made four of the recipes (3 meals and 1 snack). This is definitely my new go to book!! Some of the recipes still have multiple ingredients and steps; however, they are extremely easy to follow and less time consuming in comparison to the other Low FODMAP recipe books I own. There are also easier, quick meals to choose from if you don't have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen. The meals I've tried so far are full of flavor and make me feel as though I'm eating normal, but with a bit more confidence. I especially love how my husband loves these meals as much as I do which means we are making separate meals a lot less often and we can eat as a family again. I once again look forward to cooking and eating again, and have several other recipes flagged to try in the very near future.

Killian94: Though there is some interesting information, I am VERY disappointed in the recipes. Two of the biggest IBS triggers are onions and garlic. We are told over and over to NOT eat them. There are so many recipes in the back of the book that call for both. It seems like the recipes focus on being gluten free and forget all about the other foods that are not acceptable. If you are looking for real FODMAP recipes, this isn't for you.

Elizabeth: My husband is on a Low FODMAP diet. I found this to be very helpful in making new combinations of tastes. It is very easy to get stuck in a rut when you are cooking without garlic or onions.
I also appreciated the part of the book that wasn't a cookbook, but was information about IBS and the development of the diet and life with a low FODMAP diet. I have read quite a bit on this and used several cookbooks. I would say this would probably be the first book I would buy if I needed an introduction to the low FODMAP diet. The info combined with recipes is a great start. The foods used in the recipes are based on the The Monash University Low FODMAP foods that are tested for FODMAP levels.

Jessica: This book is amazing, no amount of internet research was able to help me learn about the elimination diet, adding back in, and of course recipes. The only knowledge that was lacking was what foods fall into the different categories. So for the challenge phase I had to find a list that was broken down by category so I could focus on those for the week of testing.
Some of the knowledge in this book changed how I view fodmaps and what can or cannot be added into a low fodmap diet.

Becca: I have a number of books on the low FODMAP diet (five so far). Most of the information I had researched online, but each of the books I have purchased contributed something (however small) new to my knowledge. However, knowledge is one thing; execution is something completely different. I can honestly say that of all the low FODMAP books I have - most of which has at least a few recipes in them - this book is by FAR my favorite and my automatic go-to cookbook. Some of the others include ingredients I know are not permitted, or only in small amounts, but no explanation or clarification is given. With the Everything Guide, though, there are tips, tricks, explanations, and helpful information sprinkled in with the recipes themselves. The recipes are clearly described and extremely tasty.
Most of my family were a little unsure about this new way of eating, as I'm the only one with the gut issues, but I try a new recipe out of this book a few times a week and every single one has been a hit. My teenage daughter who has never liked mashed potatoes actually asked me to put EXTRA "Garlicky Smashed Potatoes" in her lunch, and my husband called them "phenomenal." I have yet to try a...
