Kurt: This book would have been great if the grocery lists for each type of meal plan coincided with one another. I did the cutting meal plan and I thought it was so great that all the foods were listed that you need for the plan to get at the grocery store. But, sadly they items listed do not fit the 7 day recipe plan. Its like a labyrinth and total mess! Plus some recipes are for 1 serving, others are more? What?!

It was so disheartening to spend 200$ at the store for ingredients that are listed in the grocery store list for a specific meal plan only to find out I was missing multiple items because they weren't on the grocery list! Seriously, how can a recipe book be released like this? Did no one proof read?!

A. Frazier: My husband and I both lift weights 6x a week and I’ve only recently begun counting macros. I was looking for a cookbook to make it easier but was having a hard time finding one that had recipes/servings that were adequate for a 120 lb female in a cutting phase. A lot of the body building cookbooks had recipes that were 600-900 calories per meal. Maybe that’s great for a 200 lb guy but it’s way too many calories for me. Erin Sterns cookbook was exactly what I was looking for. All of the entree recipes are from around 160 calories to 300 and 20-35 grams of protein and there is a section of great sides that are pretty low calories. This works well for me to get my portions right and it allows me to easily double the recipes for my husband, if need be, who requires more protein and calories. She has each one clearly noted for it being low carb also, which is great for the cutting Phase. Most importantly, ALL of the recipes I’ve made so far have been absolutely delicious. I’ve made around 25 so far. They are seasoned perfectly and the ingredients are easy to find. It’s also budget friendly as there aren’t a ton of ingredients in each recipe. The almond crusted chicken and...

Amazingon Customer: I love the quality and simple organization of the book. The recipes are easy to make, healthy, and don't require too many ingredients. They also make it very easy to check your macros. I won't even buy a cookbook that doesn't list basic nutrition facts, has a bunch of obscure ingredients, or calls for ingredients that require you to make other recipes just to make the current recipe. In this regard, this book doesn't disappoint.

The author even creates week by week meal plans for specific goals (ie cutting, bulking, keto, cycling, etc). However, this is where the book falls short. Like many meal plan and workout plan, this one seems to have not been tested out sufficiently. My two biggest complaints are in this category.

1) For each plan there will be a seemingly comprehensive shopping list (a great feature to have imo). There is even a section on the shopping list for additional ingredients/staples (ie coconut oil, cocoa powder, whey protein, etc). So you go out and make sure you have everything on the shopping list and start making your recipes only to find out that you need cinnamon, pepper flakes, aminos, fresh scallions, coconut flour, syrup, baking powder,...

Mrs. Martha A. Coady: Great information and awesome recipes. The only reason I gave 4 stars is b/c it seems that many of her baked recipes are not of the correct temperatures and/or times. So just keep your eyes open when baking. Otherwise everything else was fantastic.

starlight: This is how the story goes: I discovered Erin Stern on BB.com, liked what she does, found out she wrote books, came on Amazon and found this one. I have a passion for cooking and the "Look Inside" feature gave me confidence that this book is money well spent. And it is!

A brief intro by Erin tells you what this book is all about, and why she wrote it. This is followed by a chapter called “The Essentials,” which deals with macros (protein, carbs, fats) and different nutritional approaches for strength athletes. Not comprehensive. But enough to give you a solid foundation knowledge.

And then... you're taken straight to the recipes. Some of these are keto or can be made that; however, a majority of them make high-protein "add-your-carbs-as-sides" dishes. Many are done in 30 or 45 minutes start to finish, some in as little as 20 and only a few take a little longer.

What really surprised me is these dishes keep for ages in the fridge - 5, 6, 7 days in airtight containers (exception: fishy stuff is 2 days), without losing flavor or yielding in texture. Yes, I did keep them this long to verify the claims and ate the last portion on the last day – no complaints...

ANGEL DANGEL D: A friend suggested I buy this book. So I did 1 for myself and 1 for my mom. 2 books.

Wow, massive inconsistencies, descrepancies, errors. 1 being the grocery lists are NOT accurate, so you had better triple check every single recipe and then look at the grocery list that's setup because you will miss a bunch of ingredients. I've just been focused on the CUTTING 7 day week plan and it's been a royal pain in my arse.

Another is for instance every single meal setout for your 7 Day Cutting week all recipes are provided. Great... Love that. Sadly the macros, cals don't add up that's setout for each day.

When you look at the "ZESTY ZOODLES" Pic for instance, on the LEFT it shows you the macro breakdown, plus cals. At the top of the recipe how much the entire batch makes and to the right how much 1 serving is, which is 1 cup of zoodles. Because I cook different meals for my Hubby and I have entered it ALL as ONE SERVING in my app I use to log my daily food/macro/cal intake.

So this week I'm currently on Day 5 of the cutting week. I've entered every single meal/recipe as the ONE SERVING calls for in correspondence to what the cutting weeks says to eat and the...
