Stanley TR35 Light Duty ABS Plastic Stapler

Lin Ennis: I like this stapler for most home improvement tasks.

A more modern design puts the handle pressure over the staple and that might be a better design. But I chose a model I knew!

I purchased this to replace one I'd had for years and loved it's ease of use and light weight, something I've not found in similar metal bodied staplers.

Lead Therapy III%: This is my second one, not because one broke but because I like it so much I wanted one in both range bags. They work awesome for stapling targets on cardboard, compact, easy to use, and easy to store. The bright color makes it easy to find in my range gear laying on the table. It's light duty, says it's light duty, and performs light duty work like a charm - if you expect or need something more, buy something else - this meets my intended use perfectly.

YellowRoseTXYellowRoseTX: I opened the package and was ready to send it back. It was plastic. It didn't look sturdy enough to use. Boy was I surprised. I was so enthusiastic to complete my project and used this the entire time. I have small hands and this I used easily and never tired. It was easy to push down to staple. I have a metal one that I struggle with and so I was putting off my project. It was easy to load with staples and has a little "window" to see when to reload. This sailed through for me with ease. I am SO PLEASED I decided to try it. I used the JT size staples with ease and my newly upholstered 1896 trunk looks so pretty.

MrFixIt: I bought this for the sole purpose of tacking targets onto cardboard at the gun range. It works fine for that. However, I did try to shoot 3/8" staples through a light plastic drawer liner and into a 1/4" birch wood drawer bottom and the staples barely punctured the wood. This is seriously only for very light duty. I give it 5 stars as it does what it is advertised as being capable of. Don't expect this to shoot into wood other than soft pine with small staples. By the way, if you try to load staples into in the way you may have been accustomed to with other older models (removed spring loaded push mechanism from the back of the stapler and insert staples there - you will find yourself trying to do that with this stapler. They won't go in and leave you convinced there is a design/quality issue. There isn't. Just read the directions on how to load.

BKG: Bought this for my range bag to staple targets, perfect for this use due to it being so compact and lightweight although it honestly feel like a cheap toy, I initially had a hard time finding the uncommon staple size for it as well. One nice feature of it is the handle can have the tension released from it and fold flat for storage. Only four stars for the dollar store toy feel.
