J. Clement: I have been heating up pieces of wire and pressing them into plastic parts for years to craft makeshift repairs, and while it has worked in some cases, it wasn't always pretty. So far I have fixed a kayak where no glue would work, a pickup bumper, garbage can cover, even a car remote key fob. Your imagination is your only limit. I now have 2. One in town and the other at my lake cabin, lots of plastic toys there.

anthony rosa: Fantastic tool!!! Works very well. 50 watts is all you need, don't bother buying the higher wattage tool this all you need....The included wire cutters are too small, make your life easier and use a bigger pair to clip the ends off.

vzn_doc: The fit and finish are surprisingly very nice. The "gun" has a sturdy feel when holding it. Much better than other plastic tools I've gotten in the past. The 50 watts has been plenty of power to imbed the staples in several types of plastic i have repaired. It's very easy to use, and yes the posts that you insert the staples into are wider than the staples but I believe that helps hold the staple to the gun for heating and to keep it from falling out before you ate ready. Also this kit had 500 stainless staples, most other kits only have 200 staples. Overall, I would say it's a very good value for the money and would definitely buy again.
