Oly: It is compact and works well. The only downside is that it has two start-up modes, fast & slow, and this feature hides in the setup menu with slow being the factory default. It is easy to fix, but my point is why should you have to hunt down & fix something that slows the device down.

JS17: This was a wedding gift 6 years ago and it still works perfectly today. We have only used it with used flat screen tvs and have never had an issue. It works fine even with our Roku player hooked up to the same tv as we have upgraded. It is annoying that it has never played blue ray DVDs but that’s my fault for not returning it in the first place. Otherwise it works just fine for regular dvds and is easy to use. Also, I have to commend the quality bc in the last year, my two children have thoroughly enjoyed pushing the button with the green light over and over like it was a toy with no issues whatsoever ever. :)

Steve Forster: The first unit was received was in unsealed box, broken, and had disc stuck inside. Requested replacement from Amazon and it arrived next day.

This was a gift for my parents and they are very happy with it. Remote is simple and easy to use, controls and setup were logical and straight forward. Once we had the new player, it was setup in 10 mins and we were watching a YT video.

John: I bought this to replace a old Sony DVD player that cratered. First the good - It upscales standard definition DVD to HD which provides a great picture. The "bad" - It's supposed to have 'Super quick start' which is supposed play discs 'almost instantly with a fast boot-up of under a second'. It doesn't. I don't think it is any faster than my old DVD player. Also, the old player' remote had a 'skip ahead' button that I could use to jump through intros. This one doesn't.
