JD: I was a bit skeptical at first, but after using this nonstop with zero odor escaping what went into it, I was amazed at the amount of time that went into making one of these. I will order more filters. Zero odor left my mancave.

Jana from Canada: I didn't know that such products existed. I'm very pleased that it's environmentally friendly too! I've ordered a couple of Smoke Buddies for the first time as well, which I'll try to review once they arrive shortly.

I don't plan to use any of these often, as I mean to use them for travelling purposes; so, having just tried it out...so far, so good!

James B.James B.: Let me start by saying that I love this little guy and it works to perfection! It's sleek, subtle, and doesn't emit any odor whatsoever. While the replacement filters are a tad on the pricey side, I have no problem paying for something if it is a quality product, which this definitely is!

My only real gripe with it would be the "500 smoke breaths" that the packaging/advertisers claim... I decided to use a clicker to keep track of how many times I was able to use it before it got impossible to blow through, and it ended up being just under half of the bold claim at 236 exhales. Now I'm sure there are lots of variables involved that can affect the performance, like what kind of substance you are breathing through it. For the record, the kind I had was thicker than cigarette smoke, but more thin than green clouds, so you be the judge.

As you can see by photos, the used filter weighs almost a whole ounce more than the new one, which is pretty impressive!

So even though the 500 claim is quite farfetched, I am still extremely satisfied and will continue to use my little buddy, because at the end of the day, it works darn good. That's all that matters!

karmyn falle: In comparison to the Original Smoke Buddy, this bad boy takes the cake forsure! Instead of having to buy a new piece everytime it gets hard to use, you're able to purchase replacement filters that make it brand new again! The reason that I deducted a star, is only because I'm not a fan of the smaller mouth piece. Its soft rubber which is nice, but its a smaller mouth piece than SmokeBuddy.

Titanium.: So the trap+ does a good job of filtering your exhalations and the hydrophobic filter does stop moisture from penetrating through to the main filter, but… my hydrophobic circular mesh started fraying, loosing fibres every-time it was cleaned. Moisture from your breath collects inside the rubber moth piece so it needs to be cleaned and dried after anything other than a quick use. You should also leave the trap stood upside down so any moisture in between the mesh and the rubber mouthpiece interior, drains down and out (onto a piece of paper towel). If the hydrophobic filter is slightly pushed in, the collected moisture will drain into the main filter. Becoming unhygienic, mouldy and shortening it’s life span.
As a follow up I contacted the seller to explain about the poor quality hydrophobic filter and he told me he’d posted a bunch of these very thin, hydrophobic mesh filters out to me, after I gave him my address. That was 21 days ago. I get the feeling I was fobbed off and no filters were actually sent. If that’s the case it’s terrible customer service.

CD: This is the third product like this i bought. I wish I was the first one so I wouldn't have wasted my money on the other 2. I smoke cigarettes, and do not like smoking around my cats. So I started trying smoke filters. This filter is amazing. I no longer have the cloud of smoke in my home from exhaling my cigarette. It filters all the smoke you blow into it. And it's easy to exhale into. The other ones I've tried after a day of use were hard to blow into. And once you start feeling it become harder to exhale into, you pop in a new filter and that's it!! My one cat hates smoke, and if he is on my lap when I'm smoking he doesn't even jump off when I exhale. There is no cloud of smoke filling the room. And it's super easy to clean the mouthpiece. Just wipe it down with alcohol or sanitizing wipes. I don't smoke without this product!!

DARREN K CARLSON: So I've used a Smoke Buddy for the same purpose I'm using this. IYKYK.
Pros:
Better opening for your mouth than a SB. I found the SB opening so large it made exhaling odd.
Recyclable filters
Eventually cheaper than a SB
Cons:
Shell is not as durable. I've dropped mine and it now has a small crack. Does not affect function but I feel it when I pick it up.
You need more than one filter to rotate. I'll explain after the P/C list
Difficult to exhale through after steady usage

Now for the story... :)
Go ahead and buy one and order a three pack of replacement filters immediately. It seems like an ugly investment up front but if you're going to use this thing daily (like I do) it's going to be worth it.
Open a second filter and swap out the filter every day going back and forth between two until their both plugged.
What happens when you use just one filter is that the moisture from your breath gets caught in the filter medium. Which then migrates to the cardboard sleeve/tube that contains the filter inside the housing. That retained moisture makes the filter hard to exhale through and accelerates the demise of the filter.

NICOLAS S.: This device is larger and more usable than the competition, and one can see it is more durable out of the box. replaceable HEPA filters make it a no-brainer and the pre-filter is very easy to clean.

However, to be fully functional and usable, it would need the stoppers with the little cord offered by the aforementioned competition, it makes it way more transportable but mainly suppresses all odor coming from the top of the device.
