LEVOIT Air Purifier for Large Home Rooms

Margaret Helmkay: I bought Levoit air purifier for my daughter who has recently acquired 2 kittens, unfortunately she is allergic to them but would not give them up. It effectively reduces the cat dander. The unit is not overly large so fits well into the home, is also easily movable. She has found it particularly useful in the kitchen when cooking with spices (Chilli) as it quickly removes airborne particles. One of my major considerations was unit noise - this is very quiet. She had no problem fitting the filter. Overall, I would say this air purifier is good quality, very reasonably priced and does the job.

Rob FallenRob Fallen: We have been using the Levoit air filters now for a few years, all sizes from the smallest bedside ones upto this 400S

Overall we find them excellent when it comes to cleaning the air in the rooms, and the noise levels compared to the previous brands we use

The VeSync app isn't the usual bad quality app its really well made and easy to use and navigate too which is always a bonus

Filter life various on your own house but we get a good 4-8 months from one in ours and most of our filters are run on the auto or low settings

Overall these are superb and much better than many of the more expensive brands

AncistraAncistra: The media could not be loaded.  If you’re after some serious air-cleaning power, reliability & functionality , then the 600s is for you.

We use ours to filter a large open plan space. I currently have it in the kitchen, the true Hepa and carbon filter makes short work of kitchen odours.

We use ours as mainly infection control, as true Hepa filters are able to remove viruses and bacteria. Unfortunately you cannot see those things lingering in the air, but the other day I was able to test the Levoit to its maximum - as the air fryer had filled the room with smoke!

I put the Levoit on its maximum setting and you could see the brilliant air circulation and cleaning power of this model in action.

For best effect, the filter should be positioned in the centre of the room. This allows for full air circulation with minimal ‘dead’ spots. I also elevate the filter (on a cardboard box) to prevent the filter from sucking up dust and pet hair etc (which will clog up the hepa faster.). It’s a shame that Levoit do not sell a stand for their models, it would look a lot smarter..

I remove the filter and vacuum it once a month - you can see how...

TcdTcd: Me encanta mi Levoit! Investigué sobre los purificadores de aire durante más de un mes, tratando de determinar cuál tenía el mejor rendimiento, un filtro de calidad y muchas funciones modernas. Vi horas de reseñas en vídeo, clasifiqué artículos y evalué cada uno de ellos, incluyendo a Levoit, por supuesto, a Dyson, Mila, Molekule, Coway… solo por nombrar los más populares que he visto. A fin de cuentas, la Levoit tiene lo mejor que estaba buscando.

FILTRACIÓN: el filtro de esta cosa es una bestia, Es enorme y tiene una gran cantidad de gránulos de carbono que se pueden ver realmente. Muchas otras marcas utilizan una pequeña lámina de carbono que prácticamente no capta los COV ni los olores, pero Levoit incluyó una tonelada de gránulos de carbono en este filtro. Además, el monitoreo láser de la calidad del aire es lo mejor que puede obtener. Reacciona casi de inmediato, tal vez con un retraso de 5 a 10 segundos, ante cualquier cambio en la calidad del aire. Uno de los más silenciosos del mercado.

FatFizz: Bought a couple of these in replacement of another brand which I returned due to app connectivity issues.

Had these a fair few months now and so far so good.

The build quality is good; though the filter cover could do with more of a resistive feel when closing it. Filters are good as well; at the rate I’m going mine would probably last about 6-8 months which is expected.

Purifiers connected to the app first time with no issues. A shame thisnourifier only connects to the 2.4GHz band; but that seems to be the case with most air purifiers across brands.

This one has a sensor to run the purifier in auto mode. It’s just a PM2.5 sensor which seems to be the most common in auto air purifiers but there are some that also measure larger particles and VOCs.

The sensor seems okay. When I spray aerosol while getting dressed the purifiers detects the increase in particles and spins up the fans; bringing the levels down again.

Fan noise is okay for me; given most of the time the purifier is in speed 1 (what sleep mode would be at) and only spins up when it detects pollutants. When the fan speeds up you can hear more airflow. Pose than the fans but...

ZenzininZenzinin: I have used this for 5 months. I’ve used it 2.5 months in my 350 square foot bedroom, and another 2.5 months for my 650 square feet living room. Yes, I know this is rated for like 400 square feet, but here’s my review anyways.

So here are the summary PROS and CONS, if you’d like to skip all the extensive details I will be going into…

PROs:
- Has auto sensors
- Has quick timers on it that include 1h, 2h, 4h, and 8h
- Has 4 fan levels
- High CADR of 403, which means it is for large spaces and performs at 5x air changes per hour (ACH) at max of 403 sq ft.
- Carries easily from room to room
- Turn on/off display
- Design/aesthetics
- Price point with its features are incredibly competitive compared to products in the same exact level (as in, this would have been a lot more expensive because of its features)
- Filters quite well
- Keeps smoke and odor at bay
- We love fan setting 2 to use for sleep
- Vesync integration (Levoit’s app that controls everything by Levoit)
- Alexa integration
- Apple’s Home integration
- Along this line, pretty sure it will connect with many other smart homes, like Google
- Vesync app...

SLM: I have owned this product for less than 24 hours as of this writing. More updates as I have more to say/remember to do them. Also, I will be very verbose, the sort of in-depth information I want when I am researching products over $99 for purchase, so you really know what's going on. Hopefully it helps, but it may be TL;DR for some.

My background: I am not a smoker and never have been. I was raised by a chain smoker and have spent the majority of my life around second hand smoke from parents, family and friends. I have stress induced asthma and have also been through experimental chemotherapy that has apparently permanently damaged my lungs. Over time, my lungs are slowly degrading, and as they do I become more and more sensitive to more and more things, which trigger my lungs to get irritated and produce phlegm to coat my lungs and prevent the irritation, which causes me to cough more and more over time. (It has been a lot of fun having this sort of lung disorder during the pandemic, let me tell you.)

"Well, why don't you see a doctor then?" you may reasonably ask. My experience with doctors in the past has consisted of watching both my mother and grandmother die...
