Kathleen Hawkins: It was hard to put this book down. A magical story with love, good winning over evil, loyalty, and all the best characteristics of humans, or wolves, they can have.

Samantha J: This is a really great book full of adventure, great characters, and supernatural fun! It shows a way of life centered on war but combines relationships and emphasizes doing good for all! I love the history of the lands and the leadership under good people, especially the main character of Jarl Hervor! I have read the previous two books as well and loved them and can't wait to start the next one! I highly recommend then all!

Ali_life_of_6: I love these characters. Hervor is so much more than an underdog story. Because of her own hardships she reaches out to help as many as she can. Some surprises in this book along with unique characters. Can't wait to start the next book, find some answers and see what the gods have woven.

Kindle Customer: Another great story, Hervor and her warriors have finally brought peace to the islands. With new Jarls now situated on each hopefully the peace will last. I do miss Utr and his sense of humour.

LF: Another excellent story from Melanie Karsak with Hervor and Horfund fighting pirate kings, defeating an enemy from the past, making allies and aligning with the gods. Love this series. If you love the Viking tales, this is a perfect series. Solid 5 star read. Add to your TBR. Highly recommended.

Dallass: I thought ploughing through the first two books would be enough for today, but apparently I was wrong and book three was devoured soon after. The journey of Hervor has a lot of ups and downs, but she never looses her faith in the Gods, or her companions, so it is more upbeat than not - even when things are going to hell in a handbasket. Will be starting book four tomorrow, and have every intention of finishing the series asap. A great uncomplicated historical fantasy to relax with.
