Wilhelm: Die Wetterstation würde prinzipiell alles anzeigen, was man als Laie so über das Wetter wissen möchte. Auch die Installation war schnell erledigt. Von Beginn an war die Funktion Regenwasser nicht verfügbar. Gut braucht man nicht unbedingt, wir haben einen Regenmessbecher auf der Terrasse. Im Vergleich mit präzisen Thermometern wurde die Innentemperatur um genau 1°C zu hoch angezeigt. Einstellen kann man das nicht.
Jetzt nach knapp drei Jahren zeigt das Gerät als Außentemperatur "LO" und Aussen-Luftfeuchte "10%". Also Check und Tausch der Batterien in der Ausseneinheit - keine Änderung. Resettaste betätigt - keine Änderung. Daher Ausseneinheit abmontiert, Gehäuse des Sensors abgeschraubt, Sensor mit Druckluft gereinigt - keine Änderung. Diagnose: Gerät kaputt, geht in den Electronic-Schrott. Bei Amazon nachgesehen, das gleiche Gerät kostet jetzt zwar nur noch 84,70 Euro, aber auch das ist mir für diese Nutzungsdauer zu viel. Also werden wir wie früher wieder die Innentemperatur am Barometer im Wohnzimmer und die Aussentemperatur am Küchenfenster ablesen. Sainlogic kommt nicht mehr ins Haus.

MrmeatMrmeat: The media could not be loaded.  I’ve always wanted to get a web-connected weather station so that I could get on the Weather Underground site for a long time.

I loved that it comes with it's own mounting pole and mounting hardware that most of the other weather stations don't. I mounted it on top of an existing bird house I had in the back yard because I wanted to get it away from the house for more accurate readings.

This is my first weather station and I really like it as It worked quickly right out of the box, and connected to my network with no problem from over 100 feet away. I immediately hooked it up to the SainLogic internet-based data site which provides a very clear web-based portrayal of your current weather data and great historical data graphs. Really well done. Later I also hooked it up to weather underground site and was able to share my readings with my other friends.

Pros:
• Comes with a good-sized desktop console and provides all the weather readings you’ll find on more expensive units.

• It connects to Weather Underground very easily and that was a high priority for me

• It is actually solar powered...

PublicMe: I purchased this to replace an older piecemeal setup I had. I’m very happy with the unit. It was easy to setup, has lots of mounting options and great signal strength. It has a very nice display with everything easy to see, including moon phase. The display has three levels of brightness and no light is desired.. Setting up the display was straightforward and easy.

The system can sync to Weather Underground and/or Weather Cloud (I’m glad they added weather cloud). That will allow you to see your readings from anywhere and participate in the micro weather community. It does have its own app but basically that is just reading your information from Weather Underground. Utilizing these two weather services is smart, as it means the backend infrastructure is already in place and doesn’t have to be maintained by the mfg. so they can focus on building a great device at a great price!

fern-seher: Das Ding macht Spaß. Wir haben es jetzt seit 2 1/4 Jahren und es ist bzw war toll.
Wir hatten davor keine Ahnung, wie stark sich z.B. Wind mit 30km/h so anfühlt. Oder wenn einem die Sommer-Hitze besonders "anstrengend" vorkommt, wie hoch dann die Luftfeuchtigkeit draußen wohl ist. Wirklich interessant.
Auch sehr interessant war, die tatsächliche Niederschlagsmenge zu erfahren. Da kann man sich bei sehr kurzem, aber heftigem oder auch bei lang andauerndem, sehr feinen Regen doch gehörig verschätzen. (Und die Auffangbehälter, die im Garten aufgestellt werden, liegen mir nicht - da vergesse ich, sie rechtzeitig zu leeren, oder sie verspröden im UV-Licht und zerbröseln beim Anfassen, oder sie werden trüb, oder sie lassen sich vom Haus aus nicht ablesen oder, oder, oder....)
Allerdings gibt es für die Messung der Niederschlagsmenge auch hier bei diesem Gerät eine deutliche Einschränkung: das Wasser sammelt sich hier in einer kleinen Wippe und wenn sie voll ist, wippt sie herunter, kippt dabei das Wasser wieder aus und für jedesmal wippen werden 0,3mm Wassersäule gezählt. T. R. BoomerT. R. Boomer: I always wanted a weather station, and the price on this was too good to pass up. I'm a science and technology geek with very good mechanical skills, so to me this was a lot of fun. It's been working for me for about 2 years now as of this wriging on Sept 16, 2023. So it's held up well.

The insane logic part of this is that the solar panels don't charge the batteries. I have two PTZ cameras that are completely wireless and solar powered, so to me it begs the question: why isn't this designed to charge the batteries from the solar panels? How hard would it have been to create a unit that is fully solar powered?

The other part that is strange is the mounting pole is not round, it's oblong. You want to orient the weather station so that it knows where north is, this way you know wind direction. But with the supplied hardware, this means you cannot rotate the unit unless you mount it to a round pole. The mounting hardware it comes with is not equipped for this. It's just another thing that tells you this product is not well thought out, and probably not the best choice for a weather station, but you can get around this issue by buying your own mounting...

Howza: Cons - The way the picture has been taken misleads you into thinking it is about half the size of the outdoor unit but in reality it is much smaller. The display also doesn't stay on long enough when used in battery mode when you want to view it briefly - only about 3 seconds - so you either have to keep your finger pressed down to keep it on permanently or press again every 3 seconds. I think 10 seconds would be better to give you time to look at more than a couple of measurements. There was also no UK adapter, just a EU 2-pin plug if you wanted to plug it into the mains. Another concern is the plastic pole. I was expecting that to be metal so hope it doesn't deteriorate too quick. Also found the battery compartment awkward to open on the outdoor unit, the factory had screwed the screw so tight. Finally, you get offered a small value free gift if you write a review on here but need to do that within 7 days. This means reviews will be rushed and not really based on the experience of having actually used the product. If you see other reviews, they generally just talk about the initial mounting as people haven't yet had much use out of it but been rushed into making a...

Amazon KundeAmazon Kunde: Die Einrichtung der Wetterstation geht mit etwas handwerklichem Geschick ganz ordentlich. Es ist alles dabei, was es braucht. Masthalterung etwas klein vielleicht... Wenn man einen geeigneten Platz findet, kanns auch schon losgehen. Batterien rein (wie lange die im Sender halten, weiß ich noch nicht. Laut Anleitung soll man das Gerät einmal jährlich säubern und dabei auch gleich die Batterien wechseln;-))
Verbindung per Funk ging bei mir ohne Probleme, auch als das Empfangsteil dann an den Endort umgezogen ist.
Man kann den Bildschirm dauerhaft an- und ausschalten. Und das Gepiepse.
Was fehlt, ist die Möglichkeit, den Niederschlag eines bestimmten Tages nachzusehen. Die Anzeige kann nur 1h/24h/week/month/total. Aber wenn man wissen möchte, was es letzten Dienstag z.B. geregnet, geht man leer aus.
Die Einrichtung der Windrichtung habe ich mit einem digitalen Kompass vorgenommen. +- ein paar Grad wirds schon stimmen.
Die Anleitung ist verbesserungswürdig, die Erklärungen darin etwas dürftig. Was nacheinander im Menü der Anzeige kommt, findet man schnell heraus, auch die Erklärung, wie man von Nord- auf Südhalbkugel umschalten kann, ist eher grausig. Da...
