Cecil Yount: I ordered this sensor to replace an existing one that had failed after a couple of years in service. This sensor arrived on time and was well packaged. The install instructions were simple and it worked like a charm. It has been working for several weeks now without any signal failures. It sits in the LaCrosse cover purchased for the original sensor outside on my back deck in the shade. It has an external wall and one internal wall to reach the console and does so with excellent signal strength.

hockeykev: Overtime these seem to stop working. I think it's mainly due to the Vegas heat.
One warning. Make sure you buy the right one. Several look the same. If you got the wrong one, it might not work with your display.

Lynn Huddleson: We've had our La Crosse Technology indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity meter for years and are only now replacing this part. We live at >2200 ft elevation in a rural part of the Pocono Mountains of Pa. and the temperature here varies from minus 15-20 in the depths of winter to plus 88 or so at the summer max... We receive @ 60 inches of rain/snow/ice a year and it's not unusual for us to get >2 inches rain a day for days, or to have 3-4 feet of snow [technically, this is temperate rainforest]. We are outdoor people - have for decades both worked [Dept. of Environment] and played outdoors - and multiple times daily consult our 2 La Crosse readers. This info enables us to always be dressed appropriately for the day's weather, and to always have our vehicles, buildings, and equipment prepared for the snow, ice, rain, cold. We are so happy with these devices and have depended on them for years. Cannot recommend this company and its products highly enough. In our opinion, they are the BEST.

MBois: Could not use this sensor as it did not have channel two features that is needed. Channel one is being used by the wind turbine. Got the right one from La Crosse TX141TH-BCHV3

Kindle Customer: Bought this as a replacement sensor. Original one started going through batteries every 1-2 weeks. Have had this one for about a month now and so far working well. I should note that the original sensor model ended with a -2 and this one ends with a -3 so am hoping that problems have been resolved and that's why -2 is no longer offered for sale.
