Camelia: It's worth buying the Neato battery rather than the ones that "work with Neato" bots. It works very well and last longer. I bought one that was the "works for Neato" and it was a joke. It lasted maybe 1/3 of what an original does.
The only pain, which happens with any Neato D85 battery -original and non-original, is changing it. Gosh, everything is to tight that it takes forever to accomplish the task. However, I love my bot and "he" helps me a lot keeping the floors pets' hair free.

Jack Jack: Be aware that Neato stopped supporting and honoring their battery warranty. I received a battery that wouldn’t hold a charge and decided to contact Neato for battery warranty support. Their customer service agent would not honor the battery warranty service. It appears most of the comments online about Neato’s customer service going downhill is true. I am disappointed that my botvac is becoming obsolete with little to no support from Neato. If you do purchase this battery, be sure to install it and make sure it works while you’re within the 30 day returns period.

Mike's Reviews: This battery appears to be a legit OEM replacement from Neato. In any case, it's running great for me. I can now do my entire apartment again on one charge.
Note, since this is a NiMH battery you really must condition it. All that means is that you charge it up fully and then run it down ALL the way three times when it's brand new. The reason for this is that NiMH batteries have a "memory" and will remember the charge cycle from the last few uses.
Every now and then, maybe every month, make sure to do a deep discharge of the battery and then a full recharge.
Update on 4/7/21: My first replacement battery lasted about 2.5 years and i had to buy a new one as it could barely do one room. I use it once a week to do a small apartment so this seems about right.

Wyton1: Mine worked fine for me. I actually ordered one from Home Depot because it was a few bucks cheaper, but took weeks to arrive. Once it did I noticed the box had been opened and resealed so I checked before I left the store. The battery box had the new part number but the battery had the old 0012 part number. I thought someone may have switched out the battery and returned it, so I returned the battery before I left HD.
Reordered from Amazon, arrived and sure enough, same part number scenario- box had the new part number, but the battery inside had the old number. I went ahead anyway and conditioned the battery per the instructions in the box but went a step farther as another reviewer had suggested. I charged the battery for a full 24 hours or more, then let it run till it tried to return to the Mother Ship for a recharge. But I had flipped the charger upside down so the bot could not recharge. Kept the bot away from the charger for 24 hours plus, and did this three or four times.
While you're changing the battery anyway, do yourself a favor and do some very easy preventative maintenance on your machine. While it's upside down, remove the four small Torx screws. Lift...
