The Raynic 5000mAh Solar Hand Crank Emergency Radio is the perfect companion for any situation. This five-way powered AM/FM/SW/NOAA Weather Alert Portable Radio is equipped with a flashlight, reading lamp, cellphone charger, and SOS alarm. It is the best weather radio on the market, offering the most light output, value for money, and ease of use. The SOS alarm has a red flashing light to help you signal for assistance in an emergency. The bright 2.5W reading lamp under the solar panel makes it easy to navigate in the dark. The built-in hand crank and solar panel make it easy to keep the radio running for extended periods without AC power. Whittenburry: Good inexpensive way to stay alert of any worldly incidents, but it's build quality is not the greatest.
I had to add a small piece of velcro behind the hand crank to keep it in place.

Sarah King: I got this after a power outage from a tornado in our area. It works great when the power is out because it’s chargeable AND crankable. The flashlight is great and so is it’s charging mechanisms. Honestly, love this purchase a lot!!

sljones13: We bought this recently due to an all day power outage and it would have come in handy at that time. We haven't had a need to use it yet but running it through the tests everything seems to be fine and functional. I was mildly disappointed at the size and feel of the radio... very small and very plastic. So I'm thinking if there's the slightest bit of roughness with this item, it's done. At first glance and test its a win though. Can't properly judge battery life as we've done nothing more than test...

Crdinpa: This review will go over the pros and cons of the Raynic 5000 versus the FosPower 4000. Both are great units with a few key pros/cons for each that will determine which one you pick as your device. They cost virtually the same:
Pros of the Raynic5000 - implying 5000mAh battery
- Build quality if good but not as solid feeling as the FosPower
- 4 (FOUR) ways to keep this one charged; USB, Solar, Handcrank and AAA batteries
- Button-lock feature for no accidental pressing of SOS buttons
- Regardless of the above line, the SOS button is out of the way, so even if not locked there is no chance of accidentally hitting it
- Digital tuner - this is awesome for QUICKLY selecting the appropriate weather band
- Backlit (can be turned off) Digital display for battery charge level, time, status of alerts
- Smooth handcrank motion
Cons of the Raynic5000
- 1 year Warranty in comparison to Full Lifetime Warranty of FosPower4000
- Handcrank comes loose from cradle very easily and is a little irritating
- Pathetic carabiner included
- Rechargeable battery not apparently easily removable
Now for the Pros of the FosPower4000
- Build quality is...
