Michele Bowen: I bought this radio/charge device to test it to see if it would make a good Christmas gift for my siblings, one of whom lives in South Florida and experiences hurricanes, one who regularly gets Nor'easters, and a couple who get frequent snow storms. I also wanted to see if it would be useful during an earthquake or similar emergency since I am on my community's emergency response team. I primarily was interested in it's phone charging capability since I'm on the Communications portion of the team.
The first most noticeable thing was that the 2 mobile phone charging cables that come with the product did not fit in my Samsung S22 phone. So, I had to order a separate connector that would allow by Samsung charge to plug into a USB port on the device. There is another port next to the USB port, but that didn't work either.
Once my phone was connected, I started cranking. I found that it took approx. 300 cranks to make my phone's battery increase by 1%. I have to admit, that I didn't have as much incentive to keep cranking during my test------as I would probably have during a disaster, and I'm hoping the solar charging feature works faster than the crank, but I wanted to have an...

Emile Voyer: Feels cheaply made, no shortwave radio, not waterproof, super expensive for what it is. You can’t even tilt the solar panel to get a better angle at the sun without lighting the light. I had to pay for the return. There are a lot of better alternatives on the market for half the price, i’d also try to find a seller who offer free return. I have no idea how it got so many good reviews? Please put your hard earn money where it belongs
