Programmable Water Timer by Kazeila for Garden Hoses

Zach Snethen: Look elsewhere this started leaking internally after one year, there are better hose timers out there to use. I personally would look up a smart timer that can be programed from your phone I just got one for the same price and is way sleeker.

MJG: I've had this timer watering my chickens for 3years!! It still works just like the first day I hooked it up! It survived a hard freeze that burst the hose hooked up to it and soaked it for hours.

I have mine set to water twice a day for 8 sec. Cheap Batteries last about 3 to 4 months.

I will say, setting the watering times was not as easy as some other timers i've used but this also offers a lot more customization!

Amazon Customer: Lasted 1 season before it started leaking. The point is to save water but that’s defeated if it has a slow leak, causing a constant drip of water. Disassembled it to find the cheap cast plastic in the solenoid valve has worn down. Only used for a few months 1 summer.

RicD: I attached this to my hose and the attached a water spout hose that has holes throughout. Put the water spout hose through the veggie garden and programmed the timer. I never had to water the garden and the plants were amazing. Love it. Also could go away to cottage on weekend and not worry about garden.

Cramazonian: It's pretty simple to set up, no complaints, and the scheduling worked as needed for me as I needed a temporary way to water a lawn renovation where I did not have any irrigation set up. I actually got 2 of these so I could set up 2 zones to alternate between as the sprinklers I got underperformed when all in the same "hose zone" (I have good water pressure but the sprinklers didn't use them well). The only thing I wish it did was offer a limited range on timing - meaning, I could set it for every 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, etc. but could not tell it to not run at night. Anyone watering a new lawn knows that watering at night will risk fungus, what would have been great is to tell it to water every 4 hours except between certain times of day. Other than that, it operated as expected.

Mountaineer: This water timer is easy enough to set up, the display is big and clear but if you are looking for setting it to turn on for particular days of the week then this is not what you want. You also cannot change the default manual time. It will always default back to 10 minutes.

RACHEL CARUANA: Unable to set it for every other day - so I had to set it for every day because I was going away and needed the lawn watered. The rain option has to be set manually so I could not use it while I was away. I couldn't understand the instructional video for setting the timer for every other day. The other settings are relatively easy to do. The timer itself is easy to install and looks well made. Overall, I think it would be a great timer if I could figure out how to set it for every other day. It's fairly priced.

K. BushawK. Bushaw: I like the way the timer works but had problems installing it.
I believe they have tried to design this for both U.S. and EU markets and use various adapters to make that work.
The problem is with the threads on the outlet of the timer.

I am using the timer to control a drip system for my garden as shown in the photo.
I needed to attach a pressure reducer to the timer outlet and then connect their NH (National Hose) adapter (that normally connects directly to the timer outlet) to the pressure reducer to connect to an NH-to-half-inch drip pipe adapter. That is what the photo shows.
I could not get the pressure reducer hand-tight enough to not leak a bit past the the timer outlet threads.
I finally wrapped several turns of PTFE/teflon tape around those threads and that did the trick.
You can see a bit of that white tape at the top of the pressure reducer.
I now see they even offer that suggestion in their troubleshooting section.

Interesting enough, I don't have a problem with their adapter leaking at the pressure reducer outlet connection but that may be just because the water pressure there is less than 15 PSI.

Santah: I was getting tired of watering the lawn/gardens and opening / shutting the water once done. Few times it happened that I forgot the sprinkles were on and if lead to a bit of a flood. This timer got me a full solution. It is easy to setup and read the lcd display. All it took was to setup up time of the day and duration of watering and the rest is taken care of by the timer. It definitely pays off as my time i had to stand by the hose is worth much more than what I paid for the timer.

HAPPY: Easy to use and set up. It was very easy to set up, with with clear instructions, and a very accurate timer and settings. Takes 2 AA batteries. The ones I've been running for 2 months are still reading full battery. Also, you might be tempted to use the adapter that comes with it. it takes care of everything for you. I am highly impressed with this. Recommended!
