The Orbit 62061Z Single-Outlet Hose Watering Timer is the best hose timer on the market, offering superior customer support, impressive controls and functionality, exceptional overall performance, and easy installation. This green timer is the perfect solution for all your watering needs.PoppykiotePoppykiote: I had this one and a different one. I bought another of these because it's so much easier to use than the other one I had. I can set the clock any time of day rather than at the moment watering is to occur. It also can be programmed to water from every day to every 7 days; whereas, the other brand/style I had only went up to every 3 days. Which is louzy in the winter EZ to go manual to automatic. Nothing automatic changes until I change it. It hasn't leaked at the fittings like some timers do. It's worth every Penny! Love it!

Frustrated Customer: I bought two of these and so far they work flawlessly. Very easy to program. I just wish they had used brass fittings instead of PVC or plastic.
I realize that they want to stay competitive with other companies. I believe there are quite a few others like me that would gladly pay an extra buck or so for the brass fittings.

Khan: We were planting grass and new grass need regular water or it is a waste. we added this timer to our sprinkler and this comes on twice a day right on time. so far it is working flawlessly. I hope it will continue to work for a good while. the user interface is super easy to understand. all you need is to set it once and forget it. I paid full price and it is not a biased review, i found it helpful so wanted to share. hope it will help others. so far impressed and will recommend.

AdventuresofDougy-YT: I truly can’t complain with this unit,
However I have only had it less than a year (for my vegetable garden)
It feels relatively durable. It fit directly to my garden hose spicket outside.
Since I purchased this unit, I have not needed to replace the batteries yet. It’s been since April or may- it’s now October, it still has life left.
It’s stable, it’s accurate, and it’s durable.
I purchased this because there are times I can’t wake up early enough to water my Vegetables before it gets too hot and too late, so this has solved my problem (along with a sprinkler of course)
If it is plug and play next year, (be sure to remove the batteries for storage, and don’t leave it hooked on the spicket)
Batteries will corrode over time- which is why it’s good to replace batteries. Also, my outdoor garden hose spicket is metal. Metal expands and contracts. Plastic gets brittle when really cold.
Just keep this in mind. Remove batteries for storage. Take off from the spicket after season.
Back to what I was saying,
If this is plug and play next year, I will update this rating with a “update”

Oscar: El producto funciona bien pero consume mucha energía, debes colocar baterías recargable por que si no el gasto será demasiado... yo tengo que recargaras cada 15 o 20 días.

Thanh Ha Nguyen: -The first one was used almost 2 years . I left it through last winter. My bad
- The second one was used only 4 months. I am really disappointed. Here is my issue after having the item for 4 months. I started seeing a low battery display icon on the bottom right lower corner and did what anyone would. After replacing with new battery multiple times I decided to try the third one.

Sabina: I haven’t had much chance to use it yet because it’s been raining pretty consistently that I don’t need to turn the timer in…but setting it up was very simple and fast (I love that) So, I think I’m going to like this product when I do have to use it.

VGarg: This is a decent timer but as with most other timers the body construction(including the threads) is all plastic. When screwing this onto the tap one needs to be careful of any misalignment as the threads ruin very easily. There was some water leakage from the inlet which I corrected using a Teflon tape. There is good flexibility in setting the start times (6h/ 12h/ Daily and so on) and durations. However, I wanted to run it thrice a day but there was no option for setting 8 hr intervals.
An important drawback I noticed was the significant waterhammer because of the quick closing valve. This needs to be taken care of during installation using a water hammer arrestor or something similar otherwise there is a risk of ruining the plumbing.

IMHO: I used this timer all summer to water the tomatoes in our vegetable garden and it did a good job. When I closed the garden in October, the original batteries were even still functioning. It's nothing fancy, but that means there's less to go wrong. FYI, the unit was in a location that was a bit sheltered, so it wasn't directly exposed to the weather. I'd buy it again.
