Russ: So easy to use, easy to program, easy to clean, easy to pour water into, easy to get coffee poured without spills. This machine is the best.
I programmed it to make coffee, pour my first cup, throw away the grinds (no hot steam to worry about) then reset it for the next pot. It's great. very hot, very tasty.
Buy the Bunn filters, they are worth it. love everything about this machine.

mountaindog: My old Capresso bit the dust and made it a project (again) to find a 'maker with all stainless steel if in contact with water. I used to have to maintain and repair Bunn commercial coffee makers in a multi floor and building office complex full of sales people and support staff. I know how they are made. Yes, the Bunn Heat n Brew appears to have a stainless tank and 'no aluminum comes in contact with the water' like it's commercial cousins, but has some parts in plastic that I can see through the water fill port without disassembling the unit. Main thing is it appears to have no aluminum in contact (tank) with the hot water ! YAY !
Now to the 'BUT' part... I rather got used to the 2 hour auto shut off feature on my Capresso. I could just leave the house or putz around the farm and knew it would shut off by itself. I usually forget to turn it off anyways as one of life's quirks with interruptions. As for the Heat n Brew, I was unable to decern from Heat n Brew ads, specs or reviews but unless mine is defective, I find on the 'brew' cycle the burner will stay on the 2 hours the specs say but the 'push the brew button to turn off and back on and hold for 5 seconds,' the unit...

Monica Lee: I had the original Bunn with the water reservoir, and it has been a great coffee pot that makes great coffee. I decided I didn’t want the reservoir pot anymore but still wanted the quality of a Bunn. I’m super glad Bunn makes this style of coffee pot. The taste is just as good, the coffee is as hot as it should be, with the target temperature for coffee flavor, and I like the design of this pot.

Amazon Customer: We had another BUNN for years. The first time with this one but very pleased with results. A little longer as it does not keep water hot all the time but no big deal and still way better than the normal drip style.

Amazon Customer: Very easy to program and use and makes very tasty coffee! My girlfriend used to still buy coffee at Tim’s all the time with our former coffee maker but now she prefers our Bunn coffee. I bought a second one for a second house — I think the makers took reviews into account. The coffee pot plastic lid doesn’t fall out easily in our second Bunn like it does for the first Bunn!

Brian: My problem is the bad tasting coffee from the water tank. Appears to be a mixture of plastic and machine oil.
I am currently attempting to reduce the bad taste with vinegar through the water tank.

Albert Nauss: As with all Bunn coffee makers it makes great coffee quickly. The one and only problem with this coffee maker is that it is very sensitive about water quality. I am on a well so the water is not great. So I use a top quality water filter system on the main house feed and then get water out of the faucet and filter it again with a Zero water filter. Still the coffee maker signals for it to be cleaned at about a two week interval and lately it is requiring cleaning every week and a half. Getting worse.
I would only recommend this product for people on city water "MAYBE", not having tried it on city water myself ?? Going Back to Bunn velocity brew...

The Kevster: So. I want to give this product a fair review even though I don't think it functioned properly for me. If you're considering this maker, then you probably appreciate coffee a little more than some. Or you're fascinated by the unique appearance.
It's huge and tall. A space ship. It won't fit under most cabinets. It also releases a lot of steam so I wouldn't place it under cabinets anyway.
Either way, this thing takes forever to brew up a pot of coffee. Like.. 14 minutes for me. That's crazy, but I acknowledge what this maker does differently to make it take that long.
It heats the water in the reservoir to optimum brewing temp before it actually begins brewing. From there, it functions basically like a pour over. Neat idea and theoretically should make some good tasting coffee.
I live in Colorado at ~ 6,000 ft. This heat N brew is not designed to work over 4,000 ft. Bunn offers high altitude models of some of their other makers, but not this one unfortunately. I did not know that when I purchased it. I take accountability for not doing enough research, but at least I can pass these findings on to you. You're my friend, I want to look out for...
