BradyBeesonBradyBeeson: Looking forward to the very helpful content and maximizing my canning/preserving game. Glad I found you online and found your book, this will come in handy. It does look like this was hit with a box opener/razor as it is a very clean cut. I’m classy so I tear the box open like a trash panda, so it wasn’t me hahahaha.

Jess:
I purchased this book last summer because I was looking for a super simple book on canning. As a beginner canner with pounds of produce/harvest to preserve, I knew I needed quick and to the point instruction! I was delighted when I received this book to find that not only does Ann describe in great details the different ways to can but also other ways to preserve, such as dehydrating! She also includes many tried and true recipes! I also appreciate that she includes the varying tools of the trade that you may need or may find to make the process easier!
This book will be at home on my shelf for years to come! I find myself pulling it out and browsing through it or searching the index for a specific matter frequently! I’m looking forward to referring to this book during this years planting and harvest times and learning even more!

C. Meyer:
I have been preserving food since I was 8 years old. My mom started me on this path with grape jelly as my introduction into the canning world. But even though I have been canning for over 45 years, there is always something new to learn or a new recipe to try. This is a wonderful addition to my dozen plus collection of preserving books.
Ann has provided a bounty of recipes...from curing meat, salted eggs, homemade kombucha, kefir, cultured butter, and canning vegetables. These are all methods of preserving fresh foods and turning them into something even better. If you like butter on toast, you'll adore the flavor of a homemade cultured butter. Store bought bacon? You'll flip over the deeper, porkier flavor of home cured bacon.
Each recipe has great step by step instructions. Even if you have never preserved anything in your life, this book will guide you through. Each recipe is attainable...just read, breathe deep, and just do it.

Texas Filly: I finally have a good, reliable source for all the information I never knew I wanted to know. Let me explain. If you have a desire to clean up your food source, take control of your health, get back to nature, do your own gardening, have fresh eggs daily at your door, get every ounce out of the meat and food you source for yourself and a hundred other things, including trial and error tips of do's and don'ts, if you want any of these things, then this is your book! When the author had just started on her journey and started blogging, I began to follow her. I want to do and be everything she is so I was living vicariously through her. I laughed at her trials, I cried at her tribulations and I celebrated her triumphs. She is the real deal. Even if you only want to do something simple, like maybe grow fresh herbs on your window sill for cooking, she will explain everything you need to know, including how to save and store those herbs so you always have some. This book covers everything from multiple ways to store your food, how to calculate your garden needs, how to keep and utilize meat animals to making your own products to use at home. It also makes a...

Christopher Logan Griffin: I had the pleasure of sitting in a class with the author, Ann Accetta-Scott. After hearing how knowledgeable and easy to understand she is we decided we should purchase her book. This is a great resource and we're looking forward to using some of these methods with the produce from our garden this year. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in preserving food.
