Catherine: I was gifted this book and then bought one for my friend that was just starting to get into canning food from her garden. It makes it easy to follow with instructions and directions and pictures! It also give great ideas for recipes when you can't think of how you would want to preserve certain foods. Would recommend to anyone who cans or just is getting into canning!

Sharon: What a special book! It's lovely to find such a variety of recipes. Being small batch recipes, it is easy to find a little sliver of time to fit into a busy schedule. This is a unique little niche (pun intended). I hope you are working on the next book. I'll be preserving and waiting in the meantime.

Shane Woodall: Being a baby boomer me never learned how to canning, and coming from Australia 🇦🇺 not everyone caned only rural folks out on stations where they had to grow fruit and veg year round as they would only go into town once a month or every couple months. Buy all dry goods in bulk now my turn because of extra veggies I have once harvest starts tomatoes 🍅 hot chilli 🌶 cucumber corn 🌽. Nothing tastes better than home grown vegetables.

TaraTara: I ordered this book as soon as the pre-order became available. I'm going to be buying this for any future friends that want to learn the canning and fermenting arts because I'm often asked where to start...here's a great start! I've been following Minnesota From Scratch for a while. Stephanie Thurow comes off just as friendly and knowledgeable through social media as her words do in her cookbook. I absolutely love the way it's written. It's like she's speaking to you as a friend, like she's teaching you in the comfort of her kitchen, just like her aunt taught her! It's an easy read for sure. Her book is very well laid out. Every picture is so beautiful and was taken by the author herself of her own homemade, small batch goods. There are space for notes included with each recipe, as well as designated space for notes in other areas of the book. It was thoughtful to include this because, as is with cooking, you will find that sometimes recipes need to be tweaked to your liking. Whether that be the seasoning, the variety of produce you use, or the best place in town to find that produce, notes are always smart to keep so that you can duplicate that yummy recipe...

Teri MaddalenaTeri Maddalena: I like all the exciting different recipes that are in this book. The only thing I dislike about it is they're not specific about how many jars it'll fill. On my first ferment I just guessed I'm excited to try it. Recipes do tell you how long to ferment
