(FYI) I was looking to add the same size reel as my older Presidents (model 6735), but it was tough to gauge with the newer model numbers and lighter weight reels. I picked up the 30 size, and its just a little smaller. (FYI).

Tracey Heikes: First time out, and the line kept knotting up and sticking under the spool. Line twist was terrible!.
Worst $60.00 I ever wasted. The garbage can owns it now.
I bought another reel that was $20.00 and it works great! Never another Pfleuger!

Larry G. Buckingham: Simply the best reel for the money I have ever owned. I am 76 years old and have been fishing for over 60 of those years. I live on Kentucky lake and primarly bass fish but do a little fishing for panfish. This reel handles the large bass and also the smaller fish. Smooooooth action, and has never failed me. If you have trouble with line twist, do not engage the reel after the bail is fliped and the cast made, but take your hand and flip the bail to engage retrieve. This will help a lot but mono line still will twist on spinning reels no matter how much you spend on them. The best line for this reel is a 10 lb test braided line. I never get line loops with braid and it casts much better than mono. This ia a great reel and I have 3 of them and use them all the time and have been for years.

Jim Singer: As far as smoothness i would say this is the best reel i have ever saw that is why i gave 2 starts instead of 1 and i mean smoother than silk ...put new line on then realized the anti-reverse didn't work and i was pretty ticked...to be honest i don't even know why they would put reverse on a reel in the first place but i guess that's above my paygrade...
