anthony mihovilovich: i had to install 40# spectra on the bottom about 200 yds. to fill in the load line to take up space, then loaded the topshot with rest in 10 #mono. 430 /10# is a alot of line to use in a reel . 4000 series. the casting is great smooth drag, havent used it yet to see how it performs on the water fighing a fish, look for updates in the near future today is july 9, 2023, took the out on fishing trip today, work really well, , . there is a problem with people putting GREASE IN THE INNER GEARS, I DONT? instead i use mobil 1 full synthetic 10w-40 engine oil mix with silicone together using a syringe , injection small amount of oil in the oil located under the spool in the front face of the reel , lubing the reel with this oil/silcone together lubs the gears and stays in the reel for the whole, . the problem with GREASE is heat up the gears and the bearings in the reel dont work properly, the 2 part oils is better for the gears, NOTE: , some companies use ZINC GEARS, PEOPLE THING THIS IS GREAT ,wrong,, zine mixed with water melts the zinc away , the same way people install ZINE ON THE BOATS FOR THE ELECTROLYSIS, BUILD UP, IN TIME THE ZINC MELTS AWAY, / this same way zinc in the reel mix...
