A lot of really good brand names like Shimano, Abba Garcia, these are definitely up there in that category . I bought a rod and reel . Thy came to the house in one day . Set them up and hit the water. The sensitivity and hooks sets on these rods are amazing.
The reels are a well. I liked them so much I bought a few more set ups . 👍
Definitely give them a try

Stephen Elmore: A year ago I'd never heard of Kastking . Last year I bought a Kastking boonie hat for my daughter to go fishing with and she really likes it .
I decided I wanted a new baitcaster reel to put on an old (old old) pistol grip Uglystik 1st gen so I didn't want to spend the big bucks I'd spent on the reel already on it . Ok so they make cool boonie hats but does that equate to fishing gear . I read a bunch of reviews , watched a bunch of YouTube videos and decided to give this one a try , especially since I could get a lefty for the same price as a rightie .
Man I'm glad I did . I'd never spooled my own braided before but decided to try out some Kastking power line . It was super easy to fill (after watching a bunch of YouTube videos to see the best way for me ) and in hardly any time I was casting a practice 1/2oz rubber frog .
The first cast was SO SMOOTH I got a huge birdsnest so I locked the brakes down as tight as they could go then loosened little by little until I was almost birdsnesting but not quite and that frog was going at least a 1/3 farther than it did on the prior reel and the leftie handle took about 2 casts to feel natural , no more switching hands after...

Mike wMike w: I baught this as my first baitcaster after fishing my whole life I figured I'd give it a try. Honestly I couldn't have been happier preformed well looks good and a good price point. I will have to say though the only thing I dislike about it is the fact that it does feel a little cheap it's mostly a plastic material but don't let that discourage you from buying it I must have casted it a couple hundred times this past weekend and everything worked as it should.

MemoMemo: No me gusto se uso 4 veces y después ya no botaba el seguro, se quebró uno de los resortes internos que quitaban el seguro a la hora de recuperar hilo.

DeconDecon: I say, Me Too because there are several reviewers just like me. My first! Of note I am 74. My family and buddies asked Why Really? I said it was time for something new. A new way to bass fish. You'll be sorry they said!
My research and the cautioning of 'da gang' did back me off to what I hoped was reasonable yet fully functional. I decided to give the nod to KastKing. The package arrived along with some 12lb braid. Spooled it and off to the Tennessee River. Ok, so it didn't last long...what a mess and what disappointment. A grandson heard the story and said, did you set it up? I said huh? If you're a newbie read the instructions. 3 hours on the bird's nest and 1 hour with the instructions and YouTube. Back to the river 2 days later. So, the day, it wasn't perfect but at my age that Ship has Sailed long ago. I did improve the distance and decreased the 'tangles'. I have caught a few bass in my time but what happened later that day on a perfect cast under some overhang was the sign your never too old for new and a Thrill!
That's my KASTKING in my right hand holding a 22" 4.48 lb Bass.
Thanks, KastKing! You know how fishermen are. I sure there's another reel in my future....

R. Amode: New to bait casting and After doing some research I came up with this reel. There was a learning curve but it worked well. Since this is my first bait caster I have nothing to compare it with since all my other reels are spinners. So I have to say for the price and performance it works well and it was good choice for my first bait caster.
