Kindle Customer: Oh my this is getting serious, an excellent tour de France. The evil that men do, then the excuse made to validate their actions. An excellent read with gripping storytelling.

Steve Olive: The author builds a great storyline in all 4 books, with characters full of depth that draws the reader in wondering how the main characters can survive the disease & the duplicitous politicians. The realities of fighting a deadly disease that’s been genetically modified by terrorists, the terrorists, criminal gangs & the political elite is crafted together skilfully.
Now the bad part - each book contains 5 or more chapters from the next book, meaning that the series could have been finished with 3 books. Spoiler alert! The fourth book leaves the readers hanging at 14,000 feet, literally, waiting for a decision by the main characters on how they are going to continue the battle against the disease, terrorists & the President of the USA.

JP: I really enjoyed this series especially as I work in Microbiology and could relate to many of the things written about to a point. But I did find that on occasion the story was sacrificed in order to give too much detail into something. An example of this would be in an earlier book they were sitting outside a store and the writer proceeded to talk about the different grades of face masks there were. It was very informative but really not necessary especially when the characters are supposed to be in a hurry. I also found when listening to the audio version it felt like I was being given a university lecture at times. But this writer knows his stuff and it’s very impressive. It was actually great to see how a end of world disaster could go down from the initial stages rather than most books which gloss over the details of the start of an apocalypse or simply start the story after the event has occurred.
Fully recommend the whole series!

Scott Osmond: Most post-apocalyptic fiction has a mad Max feel to them as marauding bands range for fun and supplies. In the world of the pandemic even the most simple mistake can lead to the death of everyone involved. Several events in this one highlight this fact. Instincts to provide comfort to someone in distress, death sentence no appeal. Fail to clean a surface or tool used by an infected? same. Another moral question is how far should a government or even small group go to save lives? Variant's of plague have always been with us. Those of us alive today just happen to be fortunate enough to be alive in a time when we can control the strains. But for how much longer? Hope I never find out.

Natalie @ ABookLoversLife: Here we are, 8 weeks into the Pandemic, and most of the worlds population is either sick or dead. Supplies in shops are running low, people are beginning to realise just how bad it is. The president is hunkered in his bunker but is becoming increasingly erratic, Level 6 is in full affect and life is on the brink. Meanwhile Mac and Hunter are trying to get into a routine and Mac and her mum are setting up a makeshift lab to try to find either a cure or a vaccine. Life in their little mountain retreat is plodding along. Something happens and one of Mac's loved ones becomes infected, so it's a race against time for Mac!
This series is simply amazing. The attention to detail is phenomenal. I felt like I was watching a documentary while reading and learned a lot!! The situations the characters find themselves in was frighteningly real and you find yourself immersed in their story. You'll laugh and cry along with them and just find yourself a part of their world. We get to see more of the characters struggles in this as they try to survive.
Character wise, what I love most about this series are the characters. Mac is so smart and resourceful, her mum and dad are awesome...

KarenC: The 4rd instalment of Bobby Akarts amazing series. These books have everything from intrigue to suspense and of course love. The evolvement of Mac and Hunters relationship is sublime however its Tommy and Barbs one that steals the show here, tears and all for these books!
I love the mix of characters here and how each plays out. The real scare factor here is the pure real life possibilities this could occur and this notches the scare factor up to a high level.
Im normally a lover of zompoc books but i can safely say Bobby has sent me on another path of genre wgivh im looking forward to exploring. Please read these books you won't regret it

Denise K: This story is a very gripping one. From the first book to this one, we learn not just the scientific aspects of a pandemic but also what goes on with the people it affects. As the disease spreads, we learn what happens to each victim. From when they are infected to when they take their last breath. This would be a terrible way to die and the scary part of it all is that it could happen to us all. With all of the technology and evil in the world, it would only take one group to want to take down a country and end civilization as we know it. Bobby Akart is showing us all of this in this series! With his attention to detail, he does in depth research so that we have the knowledge to at least try to survive if a pandemic does occur.
The first book, which was the beginning of the pandemic, took us to far away places that some of us will never see in our life time but we learned that it wouldn’t take much to bring the disease to our own homeland. This disease doesn’t care who you are, where you are form, rich or poor. No, it will take you down in a matter of days. Book two goes more into the government not wanting to cause a panic among the people of our country so down plays the...

Lucy: No one writes with more details, thoroughness, knowledge, passion, and understanding than this author. This series is terrifying, heartwarming, heartbreaking, chilling, The only thing I did not like about this series is the God awful name that was given to the black lab! This book ends in a cliffhanger. I am so glad I have the next book ready to read. I would otherwise be highly upset. In my opinion, this is one of the very best authors alive.
